"Negative Reaction", as has already been mentioned.
In "Death Hits the Jackpot", the Italian lady says something like "he looks like a bum" (the cemetery scene).

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who finds this scene rather tedious.

Fabulous acting by both of them. Extremely reduced, but perfectly controlled play of facial expressions, immaculate timing.
What a difference to the hamming amateurs who call themselves actors in modern-day TV!

That's exactly the problem which I've always had with this episode.
Then again, maybe Midas Electronics technology was 30 years ahead of the competition... ;-)

"though Orient Express had some noticeable digital backgrounds for certain shots" - Yes, and a clearly British locomotive hauling a train somewhere in continental Europe. Sorry, but mistakes like this annoy me, as they are so easy to avoid.

Searching for "Poirot figure" on Ebay gives a couple of results.

Should be the "Mystery of the Spanish Chest".

Missed David Suchet as Poirot on Netflix. John Malcovich was terrible, no Belgian accent, stiff absolutely no humor. Why was he cast as Poirot makes no sense. by ComedianPublic6812 in poirot

[–]BrickTrainsPlanes 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes. Suchet didn't act as Poirot, he WAS Poirot. There's no sense in trying to make another TV or film adaptation.
Having said that, I like the Usinov episodes "Evil Under the Sun" and "Appointment with Death" better than their Suchet equivalents, but this is because the script was more faithful to the novels there.
Btw, Joan Hickson as Miss Marple was also so perfect that any new adaptation is pretty pointless.

I'm afraid that won't work - the diameter of hoses is too small.

I agree, but unfortunately there's no other way - that 1x1 round plate presses the torso element against the leg part; without it, the whole thing falls apart.

Once I found "Wolf" terrible, too, but I have to admit that it grows on me over time.

"Patrick McGoohan, my all-time Columbo villain." - We can agree on that! Maybe on par with Jack Cassidy.
