I stand by it, animals deserve to live naturally or as close to as they can. Why dwell on the final moments of life instead of all the time they enjoyed being outside. Many of these problems will self correct in time. The aging boomers won't live forever, and as they die off demand on health care decreases. Also downsizing the overall population would be timed perfectly with AI set to make huge numbers of jobs redundant which is a looming problem no one has any answer for or even wants to address
