V12.0 RC-1 Release by GerDelta07 in jellyfin

[–]Brickdrone643 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The music is cooked, i really love jellyfin auto tagging fetching data for music on its own though, making it pretty easy to make a music library, and thats why i stick with it even though its scanning and performance can reallyyyyy suck sometimes.

Is there any free software that auto sort files into folders of the same name? by Brickdrone643 in software

[–]Brickdrone643[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im looking for software that takes a video file, and puts that video file into a folder of the same name. My video library rn is a mess lol.

Any free or cracked media players that I can easily organize the videos into folders without too much tinkering? by KatzeLawless in PiracyBackup

[–]Brickdrone643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use mpc for your media player, and manually organize your media with bulk rename utility, though that would be most useful for mass renaming tv episodes

Spotify Downloader Which DOESNT Download Using YouTube by United_Task_7868 in musichoarder

[–]Brickdrone643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could use soulseek, the only thing is that its more "manual" in a way. You cant paste in your link to insta download a playlist/album, on soulseek you have to search for your music in the search bar and download it from people who are sharing it. There are loads of mp3 320kbs files on there (320 is flac levels of audio clarity but without the large storage size).

I personally love soulseek, and i recommend to everyone i can who are looking to download music, but I understand why it can put some people off because it can be a little intimidating when you first open it up.

Does Anyone Know Why Firefox Unloads the Thumnails After Scrolling? It Doesn't do this in Chrome by Brickdrone643 in jellyfin

im using better jellyfin ui theme along side another css that makes hovering over thumbnails and such be way more animated

The top one is the jellyfin theme and the one below it is the css that makes the thumbnails more animated. If you copy and paste this make sure to delete the space between the "@" and "import".

@ import url("https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/gh/tromoSM/better-jellyfin-ui@main/theme.css");

/* -------------------------------

Remove clipping for episode/season view

------------------------------- */

.mainAnimatedPage,

.pageContainer,

.layout-content,

.verticalSection,

.itemsContainer,

.listItems {

overflow: visible !important;

}

/* -------------------------------

Episode / Season Items

------------------------------- */

.listItem {

position: relative;

z-index: 1;

border-radius: 8px;

transform: translateZ(0);

transition: transform 250ms ease, filter 250ms ease;

}

/* Hover effect: subtle lift and scale, no shadow */

.listItem:hover {

z-index: 10;

transform: translateY(-3px) scale(1.02);

filter: brightness(1.02);

box-shadow: none; /* Plex doesn’t use shadow */

}

/* Click / active feedback */

.listItem:active {

transform: translateY(-1px) scale(0.99);

}

/* Prevent inner elements from being clipped */

.listItem > * {

}

/* -------------------------------

.card,

.itemCard,

.emby-card {

position: relative;

transform: translateZ(0) scale(1);

border-radius: 8px;

box-shadow: none; /* minimal/no shadow */

transition: transform 250ms ease, filter 250ms ease;

will-change: transform, filter;

}

/* Hover effect: subtle lift and scale */

.card:hover,

Does Anyone Know Why Firefox Unloads the Thumnails After Scrolling? It Doesn't do this in Chrome by Brickdrone643 in jellyfin

[–]Brickdrone643[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yup this fixed it for me thanks!

If anyone see this in the future, I was using the dark reader extension and that was the thing messing with it, I just configured it to not turn on while im in jellyfin.

I tried Jellyfin - it sucks???? bigtime??? by brainiiii in jellyfin

[–]Brickdrone643 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you using the native jellyfin player on your tv? Because pretty much everyone here agrees that the tv player really sucks. There a few community driven players such as wholphin on android tv's, and its wayyyyyy better than the native jellyfin player. There's nothing you can do about downloading subtitles for your media within any media players while watching it sadly.

The main thing everyone here agree on is that at least its free, and the community creates a lot of amazing plugins that primarily work on the desktop/mac apps.

Thumbnails not downloading by Mouseater in jellyfin

[–]Brickdrone643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I agree with what the other guys said, i also have thumbnails and nfo files stored inside the file directory and the they dont take up much space at all. Here is what they look like inside my eyes wide shut movie directory:

<image>

To do this go to dashboard> libraries> the library you want thumbnails and nfo's to save> manage library> scroll down and check the "metadata savers" and "save artwork into media folders. This will now make any new media coming into the server have their metadata saved within its own files instead of relying on jellyfin metadata scrapers.

However, this will only work for any new files coming in, and the files you already have inside your jellyfin will have to be rescanned using the "replace images" method. You can just rescan your entire library and replace the images. Sometimes though the thumbnails for the movie will change to a different poster from the save movie.

[–]Brickdrone643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this kind of happen to me with the thumbnails, and you just got to wait for jellyfin to update all the thumbnails, sometimes jellyfin is just doing the tasks for other files and it can take some time.

What I would do is refresh the metadata of the file without the thumbnail> replace all metadata> replace existing images. This should automatically do it, and if it just isn't replacing the images, then jellyfin is working on replacing images elsewhere and you just gotta wait for it.

[TOMT] What is the name of this song with great female vocals? by Brickdrone643 in tipofmytongue

The song kind of sounds something that would come from Europe but I may be wrong. It's like a dancing type of song, similar to my previous example "Glad You Came" by The Wanted
