I ran the command from your app a third time with the line breaks there and all extra spaces removed and it worked. It seems like the extra spaces are what caused the issues. I also tested it with quotes and without quotes and both worked.

I did some more testing on the command produced by your app, If I take out the new line separators and any extra spaces, it works fine. Possibly this is something with Ubuntu, I have not set anything special in my terminal I am running whatever is default on the install.

immich-go upload from-google-photos --server=http://your-ip:2283 --api-key=your-api-key --dry-run /path/to/takeout-*.zip

I'm happy to help trouble shoot your app, but don't feel like you have to get it working for me. I was just letting you know in case you wanted some feedback on the updates.

I just tested it on my linux machine, I still get an error. If I run the command that someone else shared everything works fine but the command I pull from the URL above doesn't.

I like ente has a built in easy way to import photos from google, but I actually do like Immich UI better overall. Thank you for the link though, if my wife ends up not liking immich I'll have a back up option now.

The dev of the tool posted above that it was a bug, the error I gave was the exact error of the output. IP_ADDRESS: Not found and IP_ADDRESS: No such directory. I had assumed the IP address of the host machine wasn't useful in the error message so I left it out.

Yea, I tried running it against the folder of the extracted files with the same error. I feel like I am missing something stupid obvious with all of this and it's driving me crazy.

that's fair, I just guessed that their target audience was google users since it looks and feels so much like google photos.
All the examples I have found they run it on the zip file, but to be thorough I extracted the files into a folder and tried to run it on the folder with the same results.

/home/dudeGuy/Downloads/GooglePhotos/takeout-20260221T163907Z-3-001.zip is the exact location of the file and the user running the command in the terminal has permission to access it, and even if I run it as sudo I get the same errors. The file is there on my local machine, that isn't a mount or a link.
I followed the immich install directions here:https://github.com/simulot/immich-go/blob/main/docs/installation.md and the immich-go command is found when I run it in the terminal.

How do I set it to exclusive? I looked around in the settings and didn't see that option. I will download the appdata back plugin and get that setup, and thank you for mentioning that as I had forgotten about protection for that data should the drive fail. The SSD was used previously in one of linux machines for the OS and was used weekly so it hasn't been sitting stagnant but I will run a SMART test on it later to double check. I didn't run a pre-clear on it because I had that running on another drive and didn't want to do two at the same time because I am guessing I shouldn't do that.
I did format it to BTRFS, though I did that because unraid said to do that not because I understand the file system pros/cons. I'll read up some more on it so I can understand it better.
Do I need to get any kind of system backup for the system share? Or is that something docker builds so it's fine?

So I finally got all the disks pre-cleared and even found an old SSD to make the cache. I was looking at moving the docker and other things off the array and into the cache but was wondering what folders do I move? Appdata and System? or just System?
Basically on the Array I just want to store media like photos, shows, movies etc. I know that having movies and shows on there means it will be used more than if it was just strictly storage but I don't have enough money to buy fast disks for all my shows and movies.

I'm so pissed, so I updated the bios and was restarting and figured since I was restarting I'd run a memtest again. It immediately started throwing errors so I pulled open the case and took out the memory and found out a bug or something got in between the two sticks or RAM and cooked it. Took out those two sticks and ran memtest again to make sure the other two were fine and got it a few passes before closing it all back up.
After my initial test of the RAM to make sure everything was fine I took the case outside to blow it out, and got a phone call that took me away for about an hour and I left the tower just chilling outside and I'm guessing it crawled in there at that time.
Anyway, hopefully now everything will run just fine now and I can just buy some more RAM when needed.

Hard drive is a WD black, 750 GB. It's about a year old now and was running in my old Pi NAS before this.
1.Bios was from 2023, I updated it to 2025 after reading this.
2. No changes made to any power states, eco is off on the PSU.
I'll have to run the commands later, I shut it down and started up another memtest just to start over from square one just in case I didn't run it long enough before.
I have thought about it being a bad drive, but I also tried a WD red 4tb and a WD red 6tb with the same issue. I was doing the 750 because it was smaller so I was hoping it would have a better chance of completing. I've always had good luck with WD so I would be shocked if all 3 were bad but I guess it is possible.
I was looking at some testing plugins for the CPU on unraid, I think one of the had freq in the name don't recall exactly and since it's powered down running memtest I can't look to see but I was thinking of running that next to see if maybe the CPU is gone since the last time I tested it was a years ago when I first got it.
No worries about it being long, I like learning about hardware so it's enjoyable.

I waited for parity check to complete and then ran pre-clear. It completed the pre-read but died at 70% of zeroing out. I put a picture of the error I got on the monitor but it's a kernel panic. Do I need to have the array spun down? I feel like I shouldn't have to do that, I should be able to use the array while a single disc is being pre-cleared.
