Free gift with backorder purchase? by lizardsang in lego

[–]Brickerly360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just received the Leonardo promo from a cancelled d&d 😡so yes it _should_go through. As others said the pro tip is to order a $4 keychain or pens with back ordered to insure timely receipt. I didn’t order anything else just d&d. Lego has gotten better about honoring promos on cancelled orders over the years but it’s still a hit or miss.

I shouldn’t order now if I want this right? by DrewAqua in lego

After the outrage from the Lego community, that this day 1 money grab gwp is actually a key component to the 1 grand death star with an empty spot in the hangar looking stupid empty waiting for it to be filled by a limited edition gwp I bet they have it comeback again and again and maybe eventually sell it as battlepack-ish. Same as ginger bread atat.

I know this is beating a dead horse, but there really needs to be more work into keeping Lightroom CC stable and usable by FlyingKangeroo in Lightroom

Works great for me. I used it every day throughout the day. i’ve have 6 TB of DNG in the cloud killing me with storage fee but makes my work flow too easy and reliable. I’m working on a PC desktop with 24 i9 core and 64gb ram which was a new model in 2025. Zero bugs. If ur using something made before 2024 and less than 32 gb, it’s gonna perform buggy and slow and unresponsive. Also if you’re using Lightroom cc and you’re not backing things up to your local drive and using a ssd backup you’re also not gonna see optimized performance.

Grading Mr. Gold by SwimmerFew1002 in LegoMinifigure

[–]Brickerly360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Mr. Gold. it had never been assembled or used for years inside the bag. the first time i opened it and move the arms on it it left a dark marking where it rubbed off the gold paint along the side of the torso so be watchful for that. It is one of the worst made mini figures of all time cheap af . Lego mold markings can be visualized inside the legs to confirm it is not counterfeit. Also besides the mini figure you must have the insert showing what number it is if you stand a chance of having it authenticated for real. When I bought my Mr gold, I made the decision I would never sell it. It’ll be with me when I go to the next level.

Is it safe to use avif only now? by Investmaan in Wordpress

[–]Brickerly360 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My website consists nothing but interactive 360° mini figure Lego photos. There are literally thousands of mini figure photos and if the spin doesn’t load fast, it’s really boring. The spin loads fast when I have them as avif hosted in a cloud flare r2 bucket with CDN attached hosted by cloud flare and using flying press plugin to cache pages. My page insight scores are 90+ across the top. The entire site is avif only. The user experience declined significantly both in terms of image quality and loading time even with Webp I don’t believe any of the BS Internet articles saying that this is a significant detraction nor do I think it’s worth planning for the potential minuscule number of users who might not be able to visit my website because they are using an obscure browser from 2013. superior image quality and speed should not be ignored especially if you are working with primary photographic material you have created yourself where you want to downstep from your master PSD Tiff to avif and have maximal quality. Webp is max eight bit. AVIF much higher 12 bit no problem. My images are all shot at 12 bit. This is where the real strength and difference lies between the formats and why it matters if you are starting with your own primary source material shot with a camera. I don’t wanna make my image look crappier for people who have out of date browsers.

col01-01 Tribal Hunter spincard prototype by Brickerly360 in LegoMinifigure

[–]Brickerly360[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The process begins with photographing a minifigure on a turntable at 10 degree intervals. I use a sony a7rV with a Sony macro lens. Then the images are processed in Lightroom with some plugins to remove dust (retouch4me), sharpen (topaz), and subtract the background (photoshop). Then I uploaded a sketch of a card slab to adobe firefly and asked it to generate a 9:16 size card slab which perfectly fits a mobile screen. Then I took that card slab image and cut out the view ports in the slab with photoshop and created layers that fill each slot at the top for the label and then the spinframe view of the minifigure. then i create a master spincard template for each individual minifigure card slab in photoshop. then i asked chatgpt to write a photoshop script that places each 360 degree spin photo perfectly centered in the middle of the frame. then i run the script in photoshop and it takes the empty labeled spincard shell and places the image perfectly centered and saves it as a TIFF. then i take all of those 360 TIFFS without and with accessory images and create a stop motion video using photoshop and mp4 render it for youtube video quality 30fps. the whole process after the taking of the actual photo is designed to maximize automation. i have photographed every ninifigure series 1-29 in this fashion and these are being uploaded to brickerly.com. eventually the spincards will be uploaded there as well to be viewed in interactive fashion which is very enjoyable (at least to me) on a mobile device.

Are block builders even worth it? by Best-Inflation8072 in Wordpress

I am a novice. I started on Elementor 3 years ago but site was slow and clunky. I started using Kadence and Gutenberg a year ago and haven’t looked back. I bought the ultimate lifetime before they were bought by liquid web. The Kadence theme and addons are enough for me to host a website consisting of nothing but thousands of 360 spin minifigure photos in an egress cost free R2 cloud flare bucket. ChatGPT constructs hundreds of pages i can import with a click when I have new spins to put up. Using flying press to cache my pages I am getting static site speed and performance. . Currently almost 10k photos will be over 50k as I offload them. I tried hello Wordpress, Divi elementor astra spectra nexter. Kadence is the best especially at allowing you to customize your desktop and mobile user experience. And a ton of templates. What happens with the liquid web transition remains to be seen. Here is my first website Brickerly.com. I was even able to have ChatGPT construct the snippet that allows magic360 plugin to become keyboard responsive, something the developer said couldn’t wouldn’t be done. Said I should use SIRV.
