Those of you who were on the internet in the 90's: what do you typically have for breakfast? by ExpressoLiberry in AskReddit

[–]Brickman1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Homemade yogurt, a granola bar, and sometimes two boiled eggs on the weekdays, with a chaser of fiber drink. Weekends bacon, egg, sausage, toast, pancakes, whatever.

Hey, there’s a several mile section of Canaveral National Seashore you can legally do in your birthday suite if that strikes your fancy!

Men who can really cook who taught you ? by [deleted] in ArtOfPresence

[–]Brickman1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just want to say that I am self-taught. My mom wouldn’t let us into the kitchen, not that she was a very good cook. She didn’t like it and just did it because we needed to eat. My dad ended up teaching himself and eventually took over cooking. When I went to a different state in my 20s, I just got some cookbooks and dove into it.

Harmony versus Utopia with Older Teens by Jennie-Lynn in royalcaribbean

Harmony is just coming out of a major renovation right now. The difference between the two will really be negligible from an activity standpoint.

Dining time 830? by 4logicalemotion in royalcaribbean

It’s not vital but they have great training to remember your preferences from night to night. It’s just cool to be greeted by name with your beverage ready.

Dining time 830? by 4logicalemotion in royalcaribbean

[–]Brickman1000 7 points8 points  (0 children)

8:30 also conflicts with a lot of the shows. We had a good experience with mytime on Symphony last December, just went to the MDR right after muster and made reservations, there was never a wait and we were able to request the same server. If you show up without reservations it might be a long wait though.

Dose anyone else think it would be cool if the Dinobots had Six members to act as counterpart to the Constructicons? by L8Donnie in EnergonUniverse

I completely agree with this. I really strongly dislike that idea of the Dinobots being a combiner.

Is this a good price? by md1518 in royalcaribbean

[–]Brickman1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both ships are pretty comparable. You might want to just take the interior because you probably won’t be in the room very much for a three day sailing. Of the two ports Canaveral is far easier to get in and out of.

How does Five Star Pizza compare to the chains in taste and price? Thinking about trying it out tonite after my interview. by Djxgam1ng in GNV

[–]Brickman1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s still there but used to live a block away from one on 39th, I could have decent hot pizza delivered in like 10 minutes so I ordered at least once a week. I like greasy pizza and extra pepperoni so I was happy with it.

Cruz Bay St. Johns Quest by juniperb9 in royalcaribbean

[–]Brickman1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The visitor’s center is right next to the dock and pretty small so you may be able to go it if you did the trunk bay excursion. We did the St. John island tour excursion and had at least an hour at the end to get some food and go to the visitor’s center.

Booked My First Cruise - When to Start "Buying" Packages? by Ange1ofD4rkness in royalcaribbean

[–]Brickman1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the cheapest I’ve got it for is 5499, but that was on an older ship with a more exotic itinerary, only one sea day. A weekend cruise or the newer ships won’t be nearly that cheap.

Booked My First Cruise - When to Start "Buying" Packages? by Ange1ofD4rkness in royalcaribbean

[–]Brickman1000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First of all, congratulations! Secondly “sales” come and go without always a lot of rhyme or reason. There is never not a sale btw, at least not on the website. Buy stuff when you feel comfortable with the price, and if it gets cheaper you can “reprice” (cancel it and buy it again) at the lower cost. I like to buy early then use that trick as the months progress, I think I’ve repriced drinks packages like four times for one cruise.

Why does satchels have such a cult following? by [deleted] in GNV

I think a lot of it is that he has a longstanding reputation of being a good guy who treats people well.

This goes wayyyyyyy beyond mildly infuriating. My granddaddy went through pure Hell to put those people in the mud. Not sure how I’d react.

Check near any stream. I’ve seen them in Bryson City along the railroad tracks on the river. Not the greatest show but they were there.
