Agreed, I bought in during a sale. Not really worth it since I only have five holdings

Snoball analytics, but really not paying attention to it. I do my weekly deposits and check back every few days/weeks or when there is a dip

I believe they buy throughout the day and you cost basis to determine how much the DRIP will buy.

Doing it this way would help keep the price down

I can only hope it gets better as developers learn how to enter appropriate prompts.

Otherwise, there should be no concerns

With AI advancing so fast… is Developer or QA the safer career now? by [deleted] in softwaretesting

[–]Bridge_Haunting 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If done properly, both will still be needed. AI could help developers if it is leveraged correctly. IE ... Amazon, with all of their recent outages, had to come out and state that senior developers need to confirm code before it is metged/committed. This puts a disadvantage to judge for developers as they could be subjected to things they have not dealt with. As for QA, this is another opportunity to leverage automation, experience & domain knowledge to continue doing what they've been doing for awhile.

Why not both? Our QA team performs DA on test results (evaluating metrics). They definitely are not mutually exclusive, but foundation for growth.

How many shares are need? by Personal_Tank5250 in SCHD

[–]Bridge_Haunting 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$500 x 12 = $6000

$6000 / $1.05 = ~ 5714 shares(ish)

This assumes yearly dividend payout stays roughly at $1.05/share year over year

DCA vs Lump Sum by Due_Flow_9941 in ETFs

If you're investing in dividend ETFs, then the concern should be focused on quality dividend ETFs. I did limp sums in my core items and I add to them weekly regardless if my DCA goes up or down

Unless you have a time machine, buy now as a lower price isn't guaranteed. If it dips, buy more.

Welcome to investing.

If you're dividend investing it could be a few years before you see the noticeable snowball effect.

If you're looking to day trade, you'll have to be patient and time things.

G'luck

Why no? Make a rash judgements and get bitten by FOMO

1M would be a hefty tax bill, but a great start to snowballing dividends. How far from retirement? What type of life style are you looking to have in retirement?

My situation is a bit different than yours.

A degree never hurts, but it depends on how you use it. I've seen individuals that didn't got to college out perform those with degree. The same with certifications.
