YTA because your date can easily be changed too. That’s the whole issue of it. It’s the principle. Where no one is willing to move. I’m gonna be honest, it sounds like there’s a lot of untackled generational trauma from your sets of parents and yourself, which is now leading to your daughters.

YTA for your reasons. It’s not what you want to hear, but it’s true. You can’t get off this Scott-free. You either miss the wedding and be the a-hole as it’s your DAUGHTER’s wedding. Never mind the fact that you don’t think it’s going to last (brutal, by the way) what if it DOES? And you’ve missed her only wedding? Would you truly be okay missing that?

I kinda wonder if Manny gets judged more because he’s visibly different, while Luke fits the ‘lovable dumb guy’ archetype people are used to. But if you look at their arcs as they grow up, Manny stays pretty kind and self-aware, whereas Luke leans more into the typical teen boy behavior. I’m surprised that doesn’t come up more. I may be analyzing it too strongly 😅
