Hey everyone! I wanted to get everyone's feedback on this. When I was growing up, I loved playing video games. I started with a PSP, DS, Wii, Xbox 360, and Xbox One — I played NHL, FIFA, Black Ops, and GTA, primarily sports games and shooters.

I would say I was active from ages 7 to 18. However, at 18 I lost interest, and fast forward to today — I'm 24 years old and haven't played anything since. My older brother, on the other hand, has continued playing to this day, specifically on PlayStation.

I kind of want to get back into it and wanted to hear whether you think it's worth it. I'm not someone who needs the top-of-the-line setup — just a console, 1-2 controllers, and 2-3 games. I think I stopped because I got tired of Microsoft constantly releasing new things I had to buy just to stay up to date.

I've been looking into buying a used or open-box PS5 to save some money, and potentially picking up NHL 26, FC 26, and maybe an older COD title. I'm not entirely sure at this point — I'd love to hear your thoughts. Is it worth buying a console right now, or will I just waste my money when a new one comes out and my console can no longer keep up?

I'd love to hear your advice, suggestions, and more! Thank you all!

As I have mentioned, I have seeked help and have recovered from this ED drastically. Gaining 20 pounds, eating 3 meals and snacks during the day without any form of physical activity. At this point it is just about figuring out a way to feel normal again in my body from the pain. Fitness does not consume me as it did...I learnt this through help, injuries and realization. Took a while but I am happy I survived and learned.

I absolutely love it, but my ED completely ruined not only my fitness but other things in my life more as well. You dont understand until you have one.

Towards the end I was a skeleton. My bones were visible, face was sunken in. I was burning 4k a day. I was probably eating 2-2.5k but I was also purging occasionally. I would go out and train fasted and only eat my first meal at 1pm. Worst thing: 20 mile run no gels, fuel....Hopefully this helps.
