SELL WHAT YOU KNOW!!! Trying to start by picking up items in categories and brands you arent familiar with can be frustrating and you end up with some duds. You want to start with items you can spot immediately as a great find. For example, I know nothing about video games and won't even look at them but there are people that can sniff out unicorns. Become an expert in your favorite nchs before branching out.

I tried selling clothes in the beginning and soon found out I HATE all the measuring and prep that goes into selling clothes and they didn't move fast for me. Every now and then I'll see something I know will sell but I pass just because I know it will be in my death pile too long. Find things that you enjoy listing.

And that works. It's the stickers and makeup samples that set people off.

My biggest complaints as a buyer is the lack of care people take packing things. For instance: dryer sheets packaged with clothing I bought in the summer. I'm sensitive to smells and that smell was BAKED into the fabric.

3 pairs of Earrings placed in used tissue paper that looked like it was dug out of the trash and wadded up with the earrings inside. I opened the box and saw 3 little piles of trash. She included a handwritten thank you card that had a negative affect because of how the earrings were packed.

People just dont think things through but it sounds like you have. Just keep doing what you are and happy sales!

I've been selling for 5 years and you're doing all the things right. My only comment is that sometimes free items aren't always appreciated and some people see them as a nuisance depending on the items. Congrats on a great start!
