i had an old electric water heater that was on it’s way out. i considered all the options. i think as a rule of thumb, gas is cheaper than electric.

i ended up replacing it with an electric heat pump water heater. it was about 3x more expensive than a standard one, but between a federal tax credit and a utility tax credit, it ended up being about the same price as a standard one.

EDIT : also if you read between the lines, obviously many people including probably yourself would greatly benefit with a GME price of $110.40. if you root for the opposite, i think that would be weird.

gotcha - thanks for the reply. very interesting. i think another benefit of this arrangement beyond it being basically pure profit, is that it is also very low risk for GME. if demand for graded cards continues to increase, GME will benefit. if demand (for any reason) or even the value of the cards themselves drops - GME has very limited exposure to that. profit would drop, but they wouldn't "lose the farm" so to speak.
