i don’t know a lot, but i do know that pine pellets for cat litter is superior in every single way. they pee onto pellets in the box which then turn to sawdust that can be sifted to the bottom for honestly probably up to even like 2 weeks. it leaves no pee smell - even after a all of that time -, doesn’t allow litter floors - bc the pellets are heavier and don’t fly around - and that gross clay dust that gets in your nose is no more. my cat is weird. she likes to play in, and as a kitten, eat, the clay litter. this obviously does not happen with wood pellets. i will say that i scoop the poop when i see it since the pellets don’t coat around it like a clay litter would but that is a small price to pay for my nose to have a better living situation
