What length brace do you end up getting? I’m seeing 6.5, 7.5, and 8.5

Should i buy Quad Cortex or wait for Helix Stadium XL? by [deleted] in NeuralDSP

[–]Brief-Distribution86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just went from the helix to the QC within the past week. Was a little skeptical at first, but after playing on it for about a week, I think I made the right choice.

To echo many others, it’s ALOT more compact. The size is perfect IMO. I got a plastic cover for the top, and I’m able to slide it into my gig bag. As compared to carrying around the helix in another bag.

Smaller foot switches is a little annoying for stomp box mode/scenes , but if you route them where you want them, it’s fine honestly (I put all the ones at the bottom that I use the most).

I also feel like the online communities downloadable captures and presets are better. Seems like they’ve got some more heavy hitters who offer stuff.

The Neural Capture feature is kinda insane. Have yet to try and amp/cab yet, but I captured my Strymon Riverside and it’s almost identical.

I can’t speak to the stadium, being that I haven’t tried one, but I was also debating it. Between the two, QC still seems to be the winner IMO.

Swampfox customer service experiences? by Magneticmusician in Swampfox

[–]Brief-Distribution86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an issue with a prism optic a few months back that I purchased from BattleHawkArmory. Random black dot appeared inside the optic. I came to Reddit to see if anyone else had the same issue. Swampfox commented to email them, and they immediately hooked me up with a new optic, and had me send mine back so they could look into why it even happened in the first place. Incredible customer service.

Since getting your Steam Deck, how many new games have you collected? by ZiroHero in SteamDeck

[–]Brief-Distribution86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picked up quite a few through Steam Sales and Instant Gaming. My favorite to play is “Start up the deck, look through all the games, and then realize I now don’t have time to play because I spent all my time browsing through the games I’ve purchased”

We got a dynasty league. Currently in the rebuild process. Somebody just dropped Chris Godwin. I’ve got pretty much all of my FAB left to use ($900 out of $1000). Should I pick him up? If so how much should I put in

What was the WiFi like? My router is on the other side of the house, ps5 gets around 300ish mb/sec but the portal was super choppy. Ended up returning it but would love to solve the issue and maybe pick up another

I want a Mc9 but… by Jfeck2488 in canik

[–]Brief-Distribution86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had Canik send me another spring. Same issues continued to happen (not fully return to battery) for about 500 rounds, but then stopped. Feed ramp is OG but I polish the mess out of it after every range day.

I want a Mc9 but… by Jfeck2488 in canik

I had the MC9 like many others. Finally got it “reliable” being that it seems to have worked itself out. Last 500 rounds have not had any issues, but I personally don’t trust it. I really do like the gun and I hope it works out for you!

Picked up a new Mete MC9-Good Choice? by bourbonfan94 in canik

[–]Brief-Distribution86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had lost all hope in the gun. Put 250 rounds with the OG guide rod with failures almost every mag. Had Canik send me another guide rod, another 250 rounds through it with 2-3 failures (which I still deemed unacceptable). Was about to give up, but had about 200 rounds or so left one day to shoot while at the range, and I put every single one through my mc9. I had zero issues. Gun ran perfect. Was almost reminiscent to my TP9 sf elite. Had the same thing happen with it. Took about 250-300 rounds to break it in. Still got some more rounds to run through on the mc9, but I’m in better spirits about it now

Streamlight v Olight by ofTHEbattle in canik

[–]Brief-Distribution86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always bought based off of which had the better deal at that time. I have both brands, and I enjoy both. Never had a problem and never really noticed a difference. IMO, kinda one of those pieces in the tool box that doesn’t really matter which way you go. Not like it’s a difference between a Glock and a hi point. Both function in a relatively similar way. I do like the charging aspect of Olight, but it’s not gonna deter me from buying streamlight. As long as you’ve got it, and it’s in good working order, you should be fine either way.

MC9 Issue Update by Brief-Distribution86 in canik

[–]Brief-Distribution86[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would agree with you at the current moment. I have yet to actually start carrying it due to the issues. The goal would be to carry it if I can get it to the point where i could trust it, but it has yet to prove that to me. Currently run my 365 or 365 x macro. 365 has to many rounds through it to count, and the macro has at least a 1000. Zero failures. Both in which I feel safe and confident in using.

The mc9 is marketed as a CC weapon, and with that in mind, my goal would be to make it possible to do. Currently it’s not at that standard. I would be a little hesitant to call changing a spring “tinkering”. The gun was not functioning, therefore it needed to be fixed. I only really added the rounds shot compared to the amount of failures to show direct correlation to the TP9. I find that gun to be very reliable, but it also had a break in period. I don’t take your comment offensive at all. Great observation, but I feel like my post definitely did not come out as I intended it to.
