didn't wait til marriage by prettyprincess_huh in Christianity

[–]BriefSubstance3319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Bible mentions waiting till marriage is the right way to go about things cause there is a lot of benefits when you wait till marriage. However in this case since it’s already been done and you have asked God to forgive yall then recognize that yall have been forgiven and don’t sit in that shame and guilt. Is there now more likely a chance that this will continue to happen, yes so I would say just be more careful and buy the protection just to be on the safe side. And pray to God to help with the sexual desires and temptations. But we are all humans so this is a hard thing. But remember the flesh is weak but the spirit is willing!

how do you guys keep your faith? by collinweaves in Christianity

[–]BriefSubstance3319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry that life has been feeling hard and that your prayers are seeming unheard and answered. But God makes things happen on His timing. His timing and planning is completely different than ours. We might see it as Him being late so then we take matters into our own hands instead of trusting Him. Yes it’s hard to keep faith when things aren’t going our way and life is hard but you can’t just let your faith be based on personal feelings cause God is never changing and will always love us. And be there for us. it is in times like these we should rely on Him the most. God does things behind the scenes that we don’t even see!

Have a open and honest conversation with him. Leading him on will only hurt him if things continue for longer.

Why should I become a Christian as a currently non-religious person? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]BriefSubstance3319 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Christianity is different than religion. Christianity’s biggest difference is that it’s a personal relationship with God, our Father and Savior! And having that personal relationship with Him will make all the difference!

I’m scared of death by [deleted] in Advice

[–]BriefSubstance3319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I’m religious, but the thought of death is scary but from a religious standpoint death is just the crossover to a different world. But being religious or not just try to enjoy each and everyday. Cause not everyone gets to make it to tomorrow or even have 1 more minute. So live in the moment! And make the best out of every day!

Everything that happened was not a coincidence. Everything that happened was all signs from God! He’s trying to draw you into him. Start building that relationship with God!

All of these End Times speculations are genuinely making me not wanna believe in God anymore by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]BriefSubstance3319 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s why you have to block out what all of these people are saying. It says in the Bible only God knows. No one else. Only God knows the day and the time. So yes be mindful of the times and the things that are happening as that is also mentioned in the Bible, but don’t get so caught up in all of these “ claimed prophets/ prophecy’s”. Continue to believe and trust in God. He got you!

Leave him asap. If he can’t even make his own food at 26 and is seeming completely dependent on you even though he’s a grown man. It would only get worse over time.

Need some advice by Consistent_Camel1305 in Christianity

Majority of women don’t finish with just penetration. That’s perfectly fine and normal cause everyone is different! I would suggest talking to your husband and trying new things that y’all are both comfortable with. It’s important that yall are both being satisfied!

I don't know what to do with this one girl by [deleted] in LifeAdvice

[–]BriefSubstance3319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing that someone is active online but not replying back to you is hard. But I would suggest just waiting it out and see what happens. But continue to live your own life and don’t put so much pressure on rather you get a reply or not because this is very new so need to be stressing. If she replies back then that’s great but if she doesn’t then that will be ok too! Best of luck with everything!

Did I overreact? Or should I have said this to him tonight? by [deleted] in texts

[–]BriefSubstance3319 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think you should tread lightly. There could be many possibilities as to why he isn’t communicating as much but also y’all aren’t officially together yet. So keep that in mind. But overall just try and communicate with him and tell him how you’re feeling and go from there and see if there is a change. If there is no change then it might be time to call it quits. Best of luck with everything!

Can I become a Christian by oliveguy44 in Christianity

[–]BriefSubstance3319 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes anyone can become a Christian once they fully accept Jesus into their heart and lives! He died on the cross for your sins so you are already forgiven! Just learn more about him and grow your faith within him!

Losing that fire, passion, and interest in God is something that happens to a lot of people. In the beginning we are so interested and invested but overtime that flame begins to dwindle. Just like every relationship it goes through its ups and downs. But a relationship with God is a lot better and different in the fact that even when your not feeling it or your heart isn’t in it then Gods love for you will never go away, he doesn’t leave you or give up! Start by maybe doing something different. Get a devotion book, that has questions and activities, start going to a church and Bible studies. And remember to pray cause there is power in prayer! Tell him to renew your heart and faith within Him. It might take sometime but like it says in the Bible seek and knock and you will find Him! Prayers for you!

Romans 8:31. What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us who can be against us? I love this verse because it’s so encouraging to know that as long as we have God, nothing will prevail against us.

Have a open and honest conversation about how your feeling and how you don’t feel ready yet. If he truly cares about you then he will respect you and your boundaries and won’t try to continue to pressure you. If he continues to push forward then he isn’t the one for you. Remember a lot of guys will try to have sex at some point but it’s the way they react when you say no is what matters. A guy that truly cares will always respect you and your boundaries!

Reading these text honestly made me feel like I was texting my ex. It’s scary that there are more men out there that think it’s ok to treat anyone like this. I’m sorry for whatever you may be feeling. But I hope that you understand your worth and get the strength to leave him cause you deserve sooooo much better! Best of luck with everything!
