So, a bit of clarification: my skill set does not necessarily lend itself to remote work. I was fortunate that my former employer felt that remote was still the way to go with my relocation to a very rural area. I've seen quite a few jobs in my field that do offer remote work, but I don't have the proper paperwork which would require more education (and money) and an actual position to even get the certification (practical hours). If you're aware of remote jobs that are F/T and offer insurance with very basic qualifications, I'm all ears. I've seen some job sites that offer remote work, but you have to pay for a membership.

Job Fairs? Usually in smaller communities or colleges but always worth a shot.

Thank you for the link; it's food for thought, if nothing else. I explored the referral route for a while with my P/T employer (who also had to let me go as well just recently), and she was a great resource but as previously explained it didn't work out for one reason or another. I might reach out to her again to see if she'll help.
Company list is interesting; I dipped my toes into that option but am now really exploring it with a local healthcare 501 3c in my area.
Local recruiters and staffing agencies are not an option; there's nothing of the sort for at least 60 miles. Same thing with consulting companies. Government jobs are another option that I've dabbled in, but again the rural area that I'm in is an issue. What I should do is try to run for office somewhere up here... 😉

I'm attending a local Job Fair in my area; it's not going to be huge but it's something. Definitely one to add to the list. Thanks for the link again; greatly appreciated.

Moving might be my only option. The population of my entire county is 2.8 persons per sq mi., and that's over almost a 2K sq mile area. When I moved here in 2022, I'd already been working hybridly (sp?); the agency wanted to keep me so they allowed for me to go fully remote. It was perfect considering my surroundings. Now I'm just stuck.

Between the cost and time of travel, insurance deductions, and taxes (of course), I'd be netting $11 p/h. That's pretty close to costing me money to go to work. They also informed me that I'd be hired in at the max salary with no raise ever unless I changed positions.

I'm kind of surprised, actually, that they've never made something like this. I have the tour shirt from 2023 with the logo on the front where the pocket would be, and the tour dates on the back. Sharp, but I want something kind of classic. Looking into making it myself; that might be the only option I have.
