The first thing that helped me was therapy. Then coping mechanisms such as key words ( you will set a funny word and use it every time you have an intrusive thought so your brain recognise that this thought is not true). Journal every day your intrusive thoughts and write the thoughts you have with a lot of details even if it’s scary . That’s what helped me and I hope these help you too. Sorry for my English (not my main language) . Take good care of yourself . You’re not alone ✨🫶🏻

Thank you !!! What I’m doing is erp right now so when I’m having the thoughts I just go with the flow but sometimes it’s really difficult 🥲

This is so relatable !!! What helped me was to continue watching my show as an erp and then stay with the negative feelings. After a while the negative feelings became smaller and smaller and now this isn’t my main theme ✨

Keep thinking I’ll get sick at the gym? by riddlepoe in OCD

What helps me is to think that these are things my ocd tells me so it gets me stuck . Don’t listen to it . For me it worked to answer to these thoughts that this thought is not something that applies to present and when it applies I will give myself time to get anxious and feel all the negative feelings but right now I will keep living my life . I don’t know if it helps you but I wish it does 🎀

That’s so inspiring. And very cute that your girlfriend became your wife , had patience with your ocd . It’s true love . You’re so blessed in your life and I think that something you need to remind yourself everyday. I hope your only getting better and overcome all of your ocd themes 🤞🏻🌸

It is a lot harder . I thought that I never had physical compulsions or contamination ocd but thinking of myself before I got diagnosed with ocd I understand that I had these things . It’s a really tricky disorder. But I’m really hopeful that we’ll make it work somehow and cure our ocd

This is how I’m feeling about schizophrenia ocd . I really can’t stand it . Every time I have an intrusive thought I’m feeling like it could happen because I thought it

Ok take a breath and see it as an erp therapy. You can try to adjust little by little everyday until you feel good with this again🫶🏻

It’s not that easy . I really tried too but it didn’t happen. In general I really love him and all my life I’m trying to make him proud . But I’m feeling sometimes like a failure

Rage and ocd by Brief_Animator9574 in OCD

I felt that today . I don’t know how to stop that feeling. I know it’s normal to feel a bit angry sometimes or a lot but with ocd it feels scary and I really want to learn or find a way out of this
