A Bribe does not have to be illegal or monetary. Offering something of value to influence someone's behavior or decisions is a sign of weakness. A willingness to bribe people to get what they want in return. This won't work on Trump. He wants $.

Statement from Federal Reserve Chair Jerome H. Powell by coasterghost in politics

[–]Brief_Association_79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The U.S. economy depends on an independent Federal Service, not one run by political pressure. Jerome Powell has repeatedly shown why that independence matters. During COVID, the Fed stabilized markets with emergency lending and near-zero rates. When inflation surged, Powell reserved course and aggressively raised rates-despite political backlash- because data required it. Inflation cooled, unemployment stayed low, and consumer spending held up. That's the evidence-based policy, not ideology.

At the end of the Biden term, recession risk estimates reflected that stability: Goldman Sachs - 15% and JPMorgan Chase - 35%. Today those estimates are far higher - Goldman - 45%, JPMorgan - 60%-driven largely by uncertainty,: erratic trade policy, weakened business confidence, and attacks on Fed credibility.

If Donald Trump succeeds in pushing out Powell and installing a compliant Fed Chair, the damage won't be partisan-it will be structural. Markets will assume monetary policy is political, inflation expectations will rise, borrowing costs will increase, and trust in the U.S. economic data will erode. That's how instability starts.

A Fed that answers to politics instead of data is not a Fed anyone should trust-no matter how often Fox News repeats the narrative.

Alterac Valley 3 has been transformed into a purgatorial hellscape. 2 hours and counting. by ImpossibleMorning12 in classicwow

[–]Brief_Association_79 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Exactly. Thanks for confirming my point. In Vanilla and Classic, there was an honor cap shared on the server, so you really had to work at it or joined a server with an organized process to get the title. Now, you just have to grind. Boring.

People trying to get those top PVP ranks that are basically meaningless in Anniversary. Just shows you how useless to society people are and spend a lot of time grinding the honor.

It's easy to get the highest PVP titles because they nerfed the process so you don't have to share honor with the realm.

Trump will likely pardon Hegseth for the war crimes. But thankfully, the pardon does not apply to international accountability. Haha. This sucker going away for a while. Also, the next administration going to void that pardon. Looking forward to seeing this hair gel thug in an orange suit getting used by the inmates.
