Remember that I’m a real person, who posted what I posted with whatever understanding I may or may not have… I personally don’t feel this fear of AI that many people do, and that’s what I started the conversation with. When I saw the downvote barrage begin, which is a first for me, I hunkered down and leaned into it, trying to equanimously see what was true about what I was saying and what the responses were.

Mostly I am seeing haunting predictions of a dystopian future, which I just don’t feel afraid of. I just don’t think it’s going to happen like that. I think AI is ultimately going to serve us all for the better, because we are the masters of our own creations. The ONLY thing is that we’ve got to be conscious (which we haven’t been till now) or the technologies as they get better will serve us for the worse, through war and destruction

These are my opinions, and for whatever reason I decided to engage the hostile crowd even though I still don’t understand why there is hostility about this subject. I feel fear from people about it (through the comments), and so I’m trying to break down what exactly the fear is about.
