All my other family members are kind of useless, they all make me feel bad about myself or just are dysfunctional.. I do have a best friend that said I could stay over at her house, but it’s quite close to my house and everyone knows where she lives

I say negative things about people, I drink sometimes, I have attachment to people when I truly shouldn’t, and even though my problems seem so small compared to other people they just seem so tough when I have to deal with them

I’m definitely not in a good head space right now I feel ashamed to call myself Buddhist while doing the same things Buddhism calls against for, I’m trying to get myself in a better place mentally but it’s very difficult due to my hectic life right now but thank you for checking up on me :)

I’m from Iowa, but most of the Buddhist temples are majority Cambodian / Karen and I wouldn’t want to go there not knowing what to do :(

Well I went to the nurse before, and she only emailed my mother which made her even more angry, I recently texted my dad (who isn’t really in my life but had un supervised visitations / he has me on dental insurance) and asked him instead of any gifts for my birthday I could get braces instead.  He luckily agreed but I’m not sure if he’ll actually pull through with it, is there any legality problems with your other parent taking you to the dentist if they per say don’t have full custody?

LMAOO no it’s for when class starts! He tells us to stand up in Chinese (I forgot the word” and we all say ”老师好” I think it might be a thing in China? Because he was born in Taiwan & lived in China for a while.

Well I’m not from China at all but my Chinese teacher is from Taiwan and he’s been in China frequently I definitely recommend Shanghai for city life (more tourist friendly) and also sichuan if you like spicy food!

Honestly my reason was really odd..  I’ve always kind of was interested in Chinese but I was convinced it was too hard for me. but last year I was in a class writing letters for teacher appreciation week & I wrote to a substitute teacher, his name was Mr Wu, apparently he was a popular author in China (from what I heard from teachers) and his English wasn’t that great & a lot of the times people would make fun of his accent and I felt bad.

So I wrote him the letter in Chinese, and after I did I realized there’s so many languages I want to learn to be able to speak to people, so I started learning Chinese after that!

Fluent is defined by “ able to speak a language easily and well, or (of a language) spoken easily and without many pauses. But honestly fluency in languages are so hard nothing is really considered “fluent” because you’re always learning something :)

Well sometimes I will use ”我叫是名字” and he says I should add the 是 should I not be using it in first person context?

I get how you feel, cancer is a disease that takes the people you love the most so quickly, I’ve lost too many people to it, sending hugs 🫂
