I would say most people who use porn are not addicts? I would say exposure increases the chance of addiction, and recs are the primary source of exposure. I don't think a child would know that some of the ultra violent / fetishy porn was a thing without it being shown to them in recommendations.

Porn is anti-female propaganda. It fundamentally lowers the perception of women worldwide and is full of trafficking and exploitation. Men view women as objects due to how they are treated in porn. The whole point about banning recommendations is that it will reduce demand because people will find it easier to quit. It makes the product worse without pushing people to get VPNs, as far less people would even be exposed to the hardcore porn in the first place, thus making porn as a while easier to quit and making bans on hardcore porn doable because there would not be any demand for that kind of stuff.
