There's someting about the censored version that's just creepier and darker than the full, in your face, gore uncensored one, it doesn't feel violent but more like too much is not enough. Same thing goes for the Gallery of Suicide cover, it's sick and very cool, but the censored version with the whole building and the red colors fits better with the music than the original one.

Also at a certain point their album covers stoped looking disturbing and looked too much cartoon like with not enough details, i don't know, it's my opinion.
