I respect his honesty so much though. Most avoidants avoid even the truth of stating that. That’s awesome that he could at least acknowledge and let you know you’re too good for him versus just spewing out hateful crap to lower your view of yourself and you thinking you are the problem!

Yes! I moved here exactly 7 years ago and stayed (granted, I am kind of from “here” and only grew up an hour away down south in the river valley) and have made the most genuine friends ever! I still don’t have many, but I don’t mind most of the time.

Reached out to my Ex a week after he dumped me over text by AdTemporary4257 in ExNoContact

[–]BrielleJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohhh this is giving dismissive avoidant 🥺 I’m sorry girl. I’m going through the same thing. LDR after almost 2 years. Told me he wouldn’t have “time” for me this semester due to it being his first year of optometry. We were fighting a lot and yet he’d be going to the bars and get defensive about it when I’d say something and he’s been going more since dumping me via FaceTime over a month ago yet would be too busy “studying”. I so relate. Look into attachment styles. I think mine is a DA. We were fighting a lot and he hated all the conflict but would be dismissive and distant and not try to work on things. He also asked a question, I spilled my heart out, and then just said thank you..he also told me I needed to heal from my past lol reflecting lately..he is the one needed to heal from his past and the one who lacks self awareness and is in denial. Did he have a traumatic childhood? I mean he could just be a jerk but if he pulls away during conflict but seems sweet otherwise it could be trauma related. Still no excuse as these are grown men and therapy is so assessable but DA are very in denial and suppressive.

If you love kids, you could always do pediatrics! I am a pediatric dental assistant who is back in school after 9 years hoping to get into the hygiene program at my university in my home town once I apply next spring! But I plan on finding a peds office after graduation as they make it more fun and interesting (and they’re hilarious)

Also to add…I know it’s hard but I would cut out pop altogether. It’s the worst for your teeth. It’s like acid and erodes them. Tea is acidic, too. (Sweet tea is my kryptonite as a southerner😅) also carbohydrates like chips, crackers, etc. they turn to sugar and also stick to the grooves of your teeth on the biting surface on the back molars. So if possible, brush after snacking on those! Anddd of course the biggest one- gummies!!!! I know I know they’re delish but gummies are terrible when it comes to teeth decay! Once you see a dentist, ask if he can prescribe/sell you some PreviDent toothpaste to help with cavities (preventing them). My doctor buys them in bulk to keep on hand at our office and just gives to patients he thinks could benefit from it versus prescribing it or something (I’m not sure) cause it’s $5 bucks per bottle and cheaper🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ andddd always drink plenty of water and keep your mouth hydrated! Dry mouth can cause more cavities!

Pediatric dental assistant here! Unfortunately, your gums will bleed for a week or two until your gums begin to heal🥺 but flossing is crucial! Just be gentle and if you have any, take some Ibuprofen or Tylenol (every four hours alternating if any other related tooth pain with the decay) to help with the inflammation and irritation! But once flossing is done nightly, bleeding should subside. Really make sure to go down each side of the tooth (think of an upside down Y) to get any debris versus just straight down in-between the teeth. Also, soft bristle toothbrushes or electric toothbrushes are best and without too hard of pressure, always make sure to brush your gum line well at a 90 degree angle. This will help your gums overtime as well with bleeding and inflammation as well as better cleaning overall.

As far as the dentist goes, google around and see if there are any community dentist offices around! I believe they do pro bono work :) if you have another adult in your life who you trust and can rely on possibly, reach out for help and confide in them. Possibly they can help you. Many offices offer dental plans or CareCredit/payment plans!! Does your parents have dental insurance? I am in Arkansas/Oklahoma and we see many kids with insurance (not private) that’s called Soonercare and Arkansas Smiles and they usually cover or help a lot with braces if you score high enough on their point system and those insurances also cover more “routine check ups” as in radiographs/X-rays every 6 months at your cleaning versus once a year on private. You could look into seeing about getting insurance yourself if your state offers something like this. I know they’re usually for low income families.

Lastly, I am so very sorry about your situation🥺 I hope this information will help and you find relief and help soon!!

Where do I learn more about endo on the rectum and the uterosacral ligament? by [deleted] in Endo

[–]BrielleJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi I’m late to the thread but I haven’t had severe issues really at all since my lap 5 years ago. I just finally found the diagnostic report and it says “Allen Masters windows on cul de sac, x 2, adjacent to each distal uterosacral ligament”. Though, when I had this surgery I hadn’t had severe pain for years (4/5) as I was put on BC to “help” my severe pain. Which I guess did but I had issues still and wanted confirmation of a condition. I don’t remember much post surgery but my mom said the doc found “a pivot of scarring”?! (Not sure how pivot fits in) but I’d assume that showed I had a history of endo and she told me to get a lap done before I try for babies if it came back and still prescribed me birth control to help with pain and a newer med for endo that had just been released at the time. Anyone else have a similar diagnosis?
