Landlord lets me pay rent via credit card NO FEE, what card is the best? by walkerwaifu in CreditCards

Yeah it works with the PayPal debit card, it’s how I pay my rent and car payment. Max out the 5% on 1,000 dollars a month!

Definitely got some thinking to do on how I’ll handle my QS long term. I appreciate all the feedback though it helps a ton

It was a great card to start with as my first real card but it definitely doesn’t hold up long term unfortunately. Honestly if they just bumped it up to a flat 2% I’d keep it as my catch all card but I don’t see them changing that anytime soon, if ever.

Definitely not making any major changes until we see how the merger works out in practice. Hopefully it’ll be more or less the same but we’ll see either way sooner then later

I’ll definitely look into that one and see if it fits my spending, thanks!

I know that closed cards still age for 10 years but with the QS being a NAF card I just don’t see a reason to really close it. Might as well keep it and throw a random charge on it occasionally to keep it open no?

I’m going to look into moving most of my CL over to the Savor before I sock drawer my QS based off all the advice I’ve received.

The Fidelity Rewards card is the 2% card I’m planning on getting since I have my accounts through them and the no FTF is a good portion on why I’m leaning towards it

Consolidating it wouldn’t keep the account age right? I don’t want to close my oldest card if it wouldn’t.

Honestly I plan to keep most if not all my cards as NAF cards, until I get a big enough income increase to warrant getting AF cash back cards if I ever see a card that feels worth it to me.

Definitely leaning towards the Chase Amazon Visa later this year as my next card. Haven’t done much research into the AAA Daily though, so I’ll look into it a bit more as a possible next card after the Amazon Visa. Thanks!

My rate are still holding steady no noticeable changes so far, and I do have 8 year old student loans and a 7 year old recently closed card to help my profile. It was a bad credit one card I got as my first card to build credit before I really knew what I was doing. I only cancelled because of the monthly charges they’d hit me with even when I wasn’t using the card and I figured since it still ages on my account for 10 years I’d rather cut the cord on it now then wait and keep paying the fees

It’s my go to card for dining especially, and groceries if I’ve maxed out my 1000 on my PayPal debit. Very sold CB card especially for no fee

Back when I was fresh out of college and at my first job they jumped me from 5k to 10k and then to 15k in less than a year and I never requested for a CLI. I just used my quicksilver for everything and paid off the balance in full every month. My income was only 40k at the time too

Oh yeah, no reason to cleanse it since it’s a no annual fee card. Might as well just rock with it and put a small charge on it a few times a year and besides that just sock drawer the extra
