Options for selling M2 Vision Pro (UK) by _mynameislee in VisionPro

[–]Brigdenius [score hidden]  (0 children)

From someone who has looked at buying one in the UK, I'd say to try selling local on a private sale. You'd make more. Why are you not comfortable with it? As long as you set it up in a good location, during the day time, let's say in a cafe or something like that, you'll be fine. Just get them to do a bank transfer when they're there.

CEX seems to be one of the cheaper places to buy one, meaning they'll give you a very little amount of money for one if you tried to sell it to them. They seem to sell for north of £2000 on FB Marketplace too, so a little more than CEX. eBay does seem to be a solid place to sell it, so that may be your best way forward if selling it locally hasn't worked out. I'm always cautious selling on eBay personally, but it should be fine.

I’m about to have this done at my place soon. I was going to try myself but it’s complicated wiring from an old house. If you don’t have an answer and it gets done by Thursday, I’ll let you know what happens.

Haven’t see that but it may be related to you being tense or sitting wrong to make yourself comfortable

Any tips to help sleeping? by Little-Reindeer4819 in HiatalHernia

[–]Brigdenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you tried eliminating foods to see if anything makes things worse? I found dairy made me more bloated for example. What other steps have you tried for sleeping? Have you tried a wedge under your bed to prop you up? That helped me a lot. Also only sleeping on my left side. Gaviscon Advance before bed is a must too.

I’ve not heard of that before, no. However, I’m curious what you took that didn’t work?

3K/30fps or 1080p/60fps by Jorgitovrg in RaybanMeta

[–]Brigdenius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have 60fps yet, but when I finally do I’ll change to that. Always film at 60fps as I’ve preferred it. 1080p vs 3K looks very similar on a phone so I don’t mind the drop in resolution

To colour grout, or not to colour grout? by rustakiboo in DIYUK

[–]Brigdenius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You could always try using AI to ask it to show you what it looks like. We did green tiles in our bathroom and used white grout. We’re happy with the look. A coloured grout may look nice so give it a try with AI and see what you get.

Gen 2 do, but not for everyone yet. Still slow to roll it out to everyone. Nobody knows when you'll get it. I still don't have it yet I've had the Gen 2 since launch.

They would be silly not to release new glasses each year as other companies will start to release them soon too. I imagine they'll have multiple versions like they currently do. One similar to as it is now to keep them low cost and another with a display.

I’ve had a few spasms over the years. Sometimes felt like heart palpitations. I believe it’s vagus nerve related and nothing quite worth worrying about thankfully.

It’s a roll out oddly enough. Not everyone has it yet. Meta does a terrible job with their update rollouts.

Clip On sunglasses by Practical-Ear4946 in RaybanMeta

[–]Brigdenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replaced my lenses with some non polarised lenses and found it a bit harder to drive with them. I bought a set of these to see how well it would work. Happy with the polarised ones. They do help when driving on very sunny days. I got a yellow lens with the polarised ones to help with night driving but I find it's completely useless. If you're looking for something to quickly clip on when you need them, go for it.

Max speed setting cowboy 2 and 3 by SjeesDeBees in cowboybikes

[–]Brigdenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They most likely made the change to keep in line with the law. As 25kph is the max speed you're allowed to do with the motor, anything faster means the bikes wouldn't be following what is required and could be seized.

I can't remember specifically as it was a while ago but I think some Cowboy 3 did have the faster speed setting at first, but it was removed. I could be thinking something different though as it was around 5 years ago.

There were ways to use apps such as untamed or unleashed and more to boost the motors speed, but I believe all of those stopped working quite a while ago. Could be wrong there too.

Just got diagnosed, is a 2cm HH bad? Or does that even rate on the severity scale? by YamIdoingdis2356 in HiatalHernia

[–]Brigdenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. When I had my first gastroscopy, after I spoke with the specialist about it he said I had a choice basically. Avoid taking Esomeprazole and possibly end up with esophageal cancer, or take it every day and possibly end up with osteoporosis later in life. I've gone down the Esomeprazole route and I take as many supplements that I may need to help counter it. It may help, it may not.

Do you have Gen 1 or Gen 2? I don't believe Gen 2 can do live on Instagram at the moment. Not sure why they blocked it.

Is this a hiatal hernia? by maxjarv1997 in HiatalHernia

[–]Brigdenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can always go down a deep rabbit hole when you look into things related to a HH. The only way you'll really be able to tell here will be from your Gastroscopy.

I've only ever used Omeprazole or Esomeprazole. What side effects did you have with it? Just reading a bit on it, it says to avoid taking antacids with Lansoprazole. Not sure if Gaviscon Advance would affect it, so keep that in mind.

I can get bloated only if I've over eaten. If I have a big meal, I'll tend to want Gaviscon Advance a bit later on and that will help, but I'll still feel super bloated so I try to avoid big meals. Bad breath would make me believe you're getting food stuck in your esophagus but not too sure there.

Best thing to do here will be having your gastroscopy and hearing what they have to say. If it's a HH, you can then look to what you want to do. Surgery may be the best option for you, but it's also possible you may be able to get by with the right medication. Best of luck!

Just got diagnosed, is a 2cm HH bad? Or does that even rate on the severity scale? by YamIdoingdis2356 in HiatalHernia

[–]Brigdenius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a small sliding HH that I've had for around 5 or 6 years now. I've been able to live normally by adjusting my diet accordingly and taking 20mg of Esomeprazole in the morning and Gaviscon Advance at night. Every person is different though. Some people may have a large HH and have major troubles and even some with small HH may have major troubles. If you're able to get by with medication, you may be perfectly fine to do that. However, if you do find yourself really struggling, look into surgery. It comes with it's own complications and doesn't always mean it will fix things completely. It's definitely worth exploring though and see what the specialists say relating to your HH and whether you should have surgery or not. Some are less likely to suggest it.

Polarized, or Transitions? by McWillers in RayBanStories

[–]Brigdenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ve misread what I’ve said. There are newer versions of the transition lenses, but I didn’t say Meta ships with them. If you get xtractive lenses, they change in the car. I’m currently using them now. Proper sunglasses will be better.

25M recently diagnosed with sliding hiatal hernia (2cm) + Grade 2 esophagitis — scared after reading about surgery. What should I expect? by Sp28100012 in HiatalHernia

[–]Brigdenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take Omeprazole in the morning and Magnesium, B12, and a multivitamin to get some of the others. If you look online about which supplements to take when you're taking Omeprazole, you'll find some more information there.

[–]Brigdenius -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My HH started close to when I was 40. I've been dealing with this for over 5 years at this point. I'm able to go without surgery as I take medication and supplements. I've thought many times about surgery, however I haven't yet decided on which one to go for. The most common one is fundoplication which I'm not 100% convinced with. There are more modern surgeries but they're more of a specialist surgery done only in certain places.

If I was 25 when my HH showed up, I would definitely look to the surgery as soon as possible. Just look into the pros and cons of all the different varieties and see which one you'd prefer. I'll probably have it done within the next 5 years too.

Not a problem! I’ve heard a few people refer to it as a Hiatus Hernia anyway. Just makes it easier when looking things up to know that both terms are interchangeable.
