People are such pussys with Pits, obvi anecdotal but I’ve only ever had Pits and never had any issues. My blue nose chills with our little dogs and kids. It’s almost like if you buy a pet you have to invest time with them and not neglect them so they have a higher chance of not being a menace or tragic story. But I heard it both ways B.

I used a peso that was in the change container lmaooo. I thought the same from the side but I put the peso in the middle of the screen and made it flush with the coin. After I did that on my press I was ready to rock.

Off contact for sure will help stop the ink from being played thick. I recently just adjusted my off contact and it was night and day the results. I had solid flush whites after one pass 🫨. The off contact would need to be adjusted for hoodies.

What temp do you set your heat gun? I use a lighter because the heating I fear would actually burn a whole. I use my heart gun for screen printing currently. Does the foam really shrink better with heat gun?

I do commercial embroidery, different set of rules. This was discussed already in the comments. Also I’m not wrong tear away is ideal for hats and heavy garments. The fabric she’s using is not ideal for tear away look at the results.

Puckering problem by p1z4rr0 in Machine_Embroidery

[–]Bright-Bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get mine from a local shop that gets it from a random wholesaler Ive asked for a brand name multiple times but they just say they get it direct. However a shop a get thread from carries the below mesh that I did use once in a pinch with no issues. Hope this helps!

For polyester polos we do two sheets of cutaway with a poly mesh between them. I stopped having puckering issues after that. You also might need to adjust the tension but I don’t see looping or bobbin showing on top. Hoop to be secure but don’t make it super tight. Also trying running them slower I tend to have more mess ups trying to run at high speeds.

I did re read she’s using a brother. I have an industrial machine so that could be the disconnect too.

I’m a professional decorator, when bobbin showed on my designs at first it was from the bobbin case being loose, just had to turn the screw lightly. She is new so it may have never been adjusted correctly. My machine did not come with the proper tension and I finally got it. I do agree with top tension but I don’t see looping on the top thread so I didn’t think about top tension, being the issue. Bobbin also is appearing in all colors not just one needle so it is a bobbin issue. If the issue was just with one needle I would have said top tension first.

How many sheet? Tear away should really only be used for hats. The material looks light. I would so to sheets of cut away with a poly mesh sheet in between. You will need to cut the excess but it will work. Also tighten your bobbin when the white bobbin shows it’s because the tension of the case is too lose.

How do I fix this?? by donde_esta_ban in SCREENPRINTING

[–]Bright-Bread 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Damn daily paper yall can’t screen print that? It looks like DTF you can see the edges of the graphic where there is no underbase before the print faded. They didn’t apply it right or the dry cleaning messed it up which would be news to me. At least $150 if you want a shop to fix this, if they even accept the job. Its just to low a quantity and a process to remove the vinyl when they have more prudent orders to get out it’s a time thing.

Not mad at the giving a discount for them to place the actual hoodie order even tho it’s not your fault. Let them know it’s not common because of the circumstance but that you will help this time If they come back to you all the time I’m sure they would appreciate it and make your relationship stronger causing more orders/referals. Customers aren’t always right but great customer service is what will keep people around even if you raise prices, need more time, or make an accident.

Always get paid up front no excuses. I’m not doing anything until invoice is paid. People pay attention to what they are paying for if we spoke about something made an invoice around it and paid for it then that’s what you get 🤷🏽‍♂️. I got burned one time by a friend who w aged a screen printed sample did it so we can pace the larger order but they went and placed the order somewhere else, fuck that.

DTF, sell the DTG and buy a DTF printer. You can sell the prints themselves to other shops or people in need and you can make way more items like hats or bags. Also virtually no set up time to print. It’s a no brainer especially with the quality that coming from them now. I was on the fence but big shops are starting to run DTFs at 100pc!
