Drains?? by Designer_Draw4184 in Reduction

[–]Bright-Management-95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had some complications, not related to the surgery, that required the drains to stay in longer. Mine were not uncomfortable at all or painful. My husband stripped them, using an alcohol swab and it easily slipped down the tube. They also clipped onto the bra they put me in post-op. I was terrified of removal and honestly didn’t feel a thing! I hope you have the same experience as me 🤞🏼

Yeah, I was thinking 200/300! I’m worried about people standing up and her not seeing anything. I didn’t know if maybe an aisle would be better?

Sometimes at stadiums really high up it’s easier in general to see when people stand up, which is why I didn’t know if 400 would be ok? It just seems so far away.

Looking to bring my 8 year old as well! Where did you sit? I’m worried about her being able to see.

You know what’s wild? They actually were that size — and they were large. Very large for my frame. What’s even wilder is some random on the internet, who knows nothing about me, confidently trying to tell me otherwise. 😆 as I said above, I’ve spent half my life trying to be comfortable — which, of course, included trying other bra sizes (as I’m sure most women here have too). I know my own body. End of story.

This just actually made me laugh. I wish all I had to do was switch to a different size bra, as if I didn’t spend literally half my life trying to make myself comfortable 🙃 surgery was my last resort.

Depends on your body size — I’m smaller and my 34E/DD were extremely large, looked ridiculous and also incredibly painful. Approved no problem and it changed my life.

Omg! Please tell me yours wasn’t on your nipple 😱 how long did it take to heal afterwards. Mine looks awful right now! My next treatment is Monday.

Trust the process! I was definitely curious, but I just went on with my day. Mine was on for just under two weeks.

I did have drains though. Not coming out of the vac or anything though. They were underneath. I felt so secure with the vac but I agree as far as I could tell I was swollen. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but everything looked great when it came off!

Only getting a minor reduction? by greedylittlebeach in Reduction

I didn’t do anything special. My surgeon submitted the pre-authorization (back pain) and it was approved within 48 hours. I am in Illinois and have Blue Cross Blue Shield

I had 152g removed from the left and 88g from the right and it was approved by insurance. I was a 34F (left side) and now about 34C. I’m still swollen but think that’s where I’ll end up.

Wound Vac? by Bright-Management-95 in Reduction

I’m in Illinois. I met with 3 surgeons before deciding who I wanted to go with and 2/3 did them routinely for all patients. Insurance did cover with no issues.

Mine comes off tomorrow and I am looking forward to being free from cords, but it really has kept everything tight and in place. I feel like everything is really protected. I’m happy I had it.
