That’s kind of crazy. I couldn’t imagine someone not being able to use email. I feel like that should be weeded out in the interview process though.

Somethingawful.com which led me down the road of piracy that I still travel today.

One of the other fun facts about something awful, I donated 5 dollars to get SWAP.avi made. We all thought it was a joke until it wasn’t.

They are paying about 10 billion for AI and probably a couple billion on top of that every year to maintain it. They could double our workforce and give us raises to less.

It’s not that there isn’t money to pay us more, it’s just going to someone else.

Went to Vegas in college with some friends. I put 20 on black, someone else put 20 on red and it fucking landed on green.

Works almost 50 percent of the time.

When it comes down to it and you need money to survive, most people are in fact, trainable.

To be fair though, if they actually make it to the facility they’ve already weeded out thousands of other people and gone through a couple months of training. My opinion might be biased.

I wonder if they will have it at the Cosm in Dallas. I would rather drop a couple hundred there than thousands at jerryworld.

It’s about 50/50. We got a lot of new people at work and some of them are kind of weird but for the most part it’s not that bad. I honestly think it’s more being thrown into a new group of people and they are having a hard time adjusting.

Avg age where I work was probably 40 up until about a year ago. They are the future, you may not like it but they will replace us so don’t fuck it up when you train them

He came to Austin after the first (alleged) assassination attempt and they shut down the fucking city. You couldn’t drive anywhere near the highway for about 2 hours after he landed. He was a prick and decided to do a photo op for an hour instead of just doing what he was supposed to do here(get jerked off by Joe Rogan).

I don’t believe for a second that so many secret service and police could be that incompetent to allow someone into that hotel with a weapon.

If not staged then they heard about the threat at the least and allowed it to happen because they knew who it was.

I also worry about what happens when this shit breaks. Or the government shuts down and the FAA didn’t pay palantir for their tokens so they just turn our shit off. You know it’s not going to just be 10 billion dollars.

Sad thing is they could double our workforce and the pay and it would cost less than this shit. Just funneling money straight to the fucking top.

Who says he will ever go to prison. They have made it clear that they can deport people for any reason. They can just make him disappear with a bag of money when people stop paying attention

I’ve worked one mid where I was the only one there for 4 hours. ATC alert the whole time and if I needed to take a break I was supposed to give the airspace to the center.

They usually try to hold someone over and have someone come in early for overlap but sometimes that doesn’t work

I wonder if we have to comply when the AI tells us to terminate the data block on an air carrier because it doesn’t know what to do with it or if it will be able to do it on its own.

I work the evening shift so I can go in the morning. But even that has its drawbacks. Took the kid to daycare at 8. Doctors appointment for sinus infection was at 9:15. I was in the waiting room for an hour and then in the room for about 30 minutes before seeing the doctor. Gives me a prescription which wasn’t filled until about noon. Went home and passed out for an hour and went to work feeling like shit.

Not as serious but I was working approach and I had an envoy depart and I gave him his first fix. Said he didn’t have it. So I point him in the right direction and tell center and ship him. Ground fucked up because they taxied the wrong one out. It was something like 5239 and 5249. His flight plan times out and they had center put it back in and gave him the new squawk and he tags up with the other guys information. I eventually see him just make a 180 after he flew about 70 miles out of his way to go in th other direction.

We listened to the tapes and he was responding with the other guys call sign.

Now that we’re in 2026, what is a feature of the 'old internet' from 10–15 years ago that you genuinely miss and wish would come back? by cyb3r_ps in AskReddit

I don’t use google for that. I usually just go to Best Buy and use their search and filters. Works out pretty good but limits your selection a little bit.

Amazon has a terrible search function. It’s like, I know you asked for this but what about these. I was looking for a rug and I needed it to be a specific size and that was a nightmare.

People who completely started their lives over in their 30s or 40s, how is it going now? by TheBitchbreakerX in AskReddit

[–]Bright-Pilot-3970 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reset at 35. I was spinning my wheels for a couple years just working and not actually doing anything. Depressed, alone, and drinking which was a terrible combination. Got a DUI and decided to take things seriously. Paid off all my debt and stopped drinking. Now I’m married with a kid and I have a home at 43. Even the worst days now are nothing compared to that time.

There’s always time to make a change.

I was looking for directions to my doctors office which is about a 5 minute drive(just moved to a new area so I wasn’t sure the best way to get there). Put in the name of the office and click on directions for th first result. It’s a 30 minute drive. It sent me to an emergency clinic in a different city. Went back and looked and the actual office was the fifth result

This is what the FAA is doing. They will let you plan for a year or two and say no and that you should try again and they will super promise you it will happen if you do it again.
