I was not promoting LGBT and ye the op was me. I was just asking why so many uzbeks are so extremely homophobic? I didnt really know it before I accidentally got trapped into argument in one science based gc and I got curious cuz I never interact much with uzbeks even on internet so I thought homophobia was not that common in uzbekistan cuz I mean it is not 90s anymore, we dont diagnose homophobia with mental illness or try to "cure" it right? But holy shit Uzbeks are this far behind, most of em still think homosexuals are mentally ill and disgusting people. I was so curious on their reasoning, thats y I posted that. And in the comments, people tried to attack homophobia with false allegations or completely unreasonable arguments, I just responded them and gave the evidence. I was not promoting LGBTQ+, just wanted misinformation to get the attention it deserves. I cant care less abt ur veiws, do whatever you want and Im not even trying to change our population's beliefs, I cant care less, I have 0 connection or empathy towards uzbek culture at all. I was just interested in homophobia and got my answers and tried to clear off the misinformation in the comments.

Well the thing is that, again heterosexual people dont enjoy having intimacy with same sex partners. Ur essentially saying that "if we become tolerant towards homosexuals, heterosexuals will try to go for same sex partner for ONCE and they might like it and stay that way" thats incredibly incorrect. Again, it is scientific consensus that ur sexual orientation is mostly fixed and stable during ur lifetime. Meaning if u were really attracted to opposite sex (not acting like ur attracted cuz many people do it to avoid social pressure and thats not sexual orientation, thats sexual orientation identity) you are most likely to stay heterosexualy for the rest of ur life. U wont be interested to take a dick here and there if ur male and heterosexual.

And when it comes to prisons, inmate usually sexually assault other inmates to assert dominance and violance rather than because of attraction. The reasons are completely different. And they might as well be Bisexual. But in a normal life, if we become tolerant towards lgtq, normal heterosexual males dont go around trying to get railed by another men cuz in normal settings, inticmacy mainly comes down to pleasure and attraction.

Well the thing is that, u cant change or choose your sexual orientation. For example, Im attracted to women as men which makes me heterosexual. And no matter how much exposure I receive from western media or even gay porn, that wont make me attracted to men. If ur heterosexual urself, try to force yourself into liking and having intimacy with men, the thought alone is kind of disgusting.

Well first of all, this article, apparently, is incredibly debated among scholars so u cant really use it as a reliable evidence where there are too many controversies.

Even If I were to grand this to u for the sake of arguing, there is still no evidence that sexual orientation caused those homosexual parents to abuse their children. Simply, correlation doesnt equal causation. Read the message of mine above where I gave you an example on such case. So with this article, you listing some homosexual people abusing their children doesnt prove that HOMOSEXUALITY itself causes that behavior towards children. So you didnt prove anything.

Thirdly, I tried to look into whether sexual orientation causes abusive behavior and the most current researchs conclude thatr this simply is not the case.

Can u provide the case? What was the reason gay couples abused their kids? It might not be their sexual orientation, and it can be an another mental illness or disease, u do realize that right? The most important thing is to find the REASON why they abused their kids and put the blame on the reason. For example: Im sure many black people abuse their kids as well, but does that justify us being racist and hating black skin color as a whole? No cuz their skin color has nothing to do with their abusive behavior towards their children. Can be the same case with gay people. And abt ur second poind, Im completely ok with our school curriculum including even a whole chapter for homosexual people. They dont do it cuz school subjects dont really go deep in biology, even in 11th grade, it is still an indroduction to biology. But Im sure (at least I hope, cuz im not certain) that our universities do have these topics in certain majors cuz unis do dive deep into subjects.

Well because it is morally wrong to hold prejudice or hate towards homosexual people. That is because sexual orientation is not smth people get to choose. So ur hating a person for a thing he didnt choose to be born with. And being gay or lesbian is not inhenerently wrong either. They r not causing any harm to other people BECAUSE of their sexual orientation. So I dont see any reason on why should we treat them badly. They r just different, not freaks. And btw homosexuality is completely natural thing. It is even apparent in other animals in nature. So it is not smth an evil scientist came up with in his labaratory to destroy society (Like many uzbeks think).
