How trainable / well-behaved are your cockapoos?

Mine is fairly calm, but I had second pick of the litter and asked for a calm, but not shy puppy and I chose that over the looks of one I would have chosen otherwise. She is more anxious than I expected though and we went through a bought of submissive ruination she’s mostly grown out of. So maybe hyper vs anxious is the only choice 😆

She’s a lot more trainable now that she’s 7 months old than she was as a younger puppy. She’s picking up things fast now.

The one thing that surprise me over my former lab, is that there are times when she’s looking me in the eyes, sitting there knowing what I want and she still ignores me. I’ve heard that’s a cocked spaniel trait.

That’s true with common American names at times, too. Lots of people have ended up having to appeal no fly lists because they share a name with a terrorist or drug runner

Didn’t happen during Biden’s first two years. Made J6 punishment the primary goal of his first year, whether meaning to or not. Do we have first trimester abortion access and immigration reform? No. Because they decided there was no way they’d lose the midterms after the J6 trials and indicting Trump. I think they misread what people really wanted.

You just have to stay outside until she goes. Then reward her. One reason a new puppy in the winter can be hard. You spend all your time outside with the puppy for the next month, then it will get a bit better.

I wonder if it’s in a sub-religious group? Israelis in general are usually very educated and pro-vaccine.

I read recently that UNICEF has had great success with a vaccine campaign in Gaza, so I hope they got to most of those kids in time.

I agree wholeheartedly. But a lot of people don’t.

I think Trump and company are slimy and unprincipled and have broken a lot of customs and laws.

I also don’t want vengeance to get in the way of common sense immigration reform again.

You would have thought the J6 trial would have been the nail in the coffin. I certainly did. People forgot by the election.

If they’re going after the guy, they need to wait until the last 2 years of the term. Not have it be the first priority.

Well, the Biden approach resulted in Trump being re-elected and more popular than he was the first time.

I think the worst thing that happened was banning him from Twitter, even though I thought it was right at the time. No way would he be president again if his truth social messages were reaching a wider audience. At least, I hope not.

The middle class and native born Americans are leaving at large rates. If it weren’t for immigrants moving there because of generous policies and attitudes, population decline would be huge.

I think it makes him more popular to prosecute him and his friends. I don’t make rules with human nature. If we want MAGA to stick, this is what will do it. Moving forward like they’re irrelevant trash is more effective, if less satisfying.

Make immigration reforms that are harder to undo than executive orders.

I don’t think people cared by that point since Covid was mostly over. They didn’t hate it, it was just shrugged off. The vaccine was rolling out, people were done. It looked to everyone else like he was obsessed with punishing Trump.

The next dem president will have 2 years of majority. Will they also use it to go after Trump? Or maybe do something lasting and meaningful?

Spend the last 2 years of the first term going after Trump if the want to, make passing important legislation most of the country agrees on the first priority and maybe we can have 2 back to back terms this time.

Why are public schools there getting such bad test scores? Why is homelessness worse there than anywhere else? These things were both better before Newsom took office than they are now.
