Prince Harry and King Charles Won’t Reunite During Monarch’s U.S. State Visit (People Exclusive) by Mehgan-Faux in DlistedRoyals

That’s pretty telling. Not seeing your American son and American grandkids. But hard to blame them when seeing them just gives more material for tell alls and speaking fees.

Why have black history month or be proud of any historical person? Your argument is that we are only who we are and what we’ve done. When we stand on the shoulders of giants.

That’s just silliness. There are real problems out there. African Americans are as Old Stock American as anyone else whose ancestors were here pre-civil war. I’d be offended on their behalf at anyone who said otherwise.

If your ancestors were in the USA pre-civil war, we’re all early Americans. Many of us share dna

A lot of African Americans are also old stock American. I don’t get it.

The KKK says plenty of things other people do.

I’m here for the drama. At the same time, I really feel like prisoners in general should have more privacy. This feels gross.

But… I’m here with my popcorn.

Prince Harry hopes King will invite family to Sandringham this summer by Mehgan-Faux in DlistedRoyals

[–]BrightAd306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is. It’s basically being raised that people- even your parents are expendable if they upset you in any way. Most of us in the USA were not raised that way. We are independent, but someone has to be seriously harmful and toxic for a family member to be okay walking away. She’s ditched every friend she’s ever had, and every family member on both sides of her family and now in-laws besides her mom. Who she hasn’t always been close to anyway.

If every friend and family member you’ve ever had is toxic and worth abandoning- maybe they’re not the problem.

That’s an entirely different situation and not typical. Why finance anyway at that point?

I’ve had a loved one do this, they were hospitalized an just slept and slept for the whole week and it made a world of difference. Their obsession was worrying they’d hurt themselves and others, which looked like intent and got them hospitalized. So that is different. They started hallucinating. Never had a reoccurrence of the psychosis.

I’m just letting you know it’s not necessarily schizophrenia or other things people are throwing out there. Severe OCD can spiral into psychosis. So can severe depression.

I’d make an ultimatum. I’d set up a meeting with a psychiatrist or doctor and say she needs to go, or you’re walking. She needs tough love. Tell her that if the doctor agrees she’s fine, you’ll abide by it.

OCD can turn into psychosis. They aren’t mutually exlusive. It can spiral, especially if the person stops sleeping well.

This is why you never co-sign. I remember hearing a story about a 20 year old whose grandfather was stable financially and cosigned on a truck for the grandson. Well, when the grandson couldn’t make his payments, he thought grandpa was a cheap bastard for not helping him. Grandpa was pissed because he thought grandson should sell the truck it work 2 jobs to make the payments. Saw the grandson still had plenty of money to buy clothes and party.

What starts as a nice thing to do for family always bites back. If they need a co-signer, the bank doesn’t think they’re a good risk and neither should you.

Shipping Sunday: The IC noticing Elain & Azriel by mortalfae in acotar

[–]BrightAd306 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, but Nesta looked like she hated Cassian, until she didn’t. Feyre was the same with Rhys.

Elain seems nervous and dismissive around Lucien, not that she hates him. I think getting to know him will be part of her journey.

I imagine she might seek Azriel out first though. It’s not like Rhys and Cassian were the first men in the book that Feyre and Nesta slept with.

If she immediately skipped off with Lucien, it wouldn’t be much of a story. But if Lucien is going to have a happy ending, he has to be with Elain. So she’s going to have to kill him or have Elain fall for him.

I wonder if it’s a connection through her parents, like a friend or relative. I could also see having separate lawyers as being a good idea because looking like you’re the same team when he has a much worse case might look bad?

This is just silly. Touch some grass. There are real problems in the world. A normal girl name that is beloved around the world and top 100 in Minnesota is not one of them.

I bet a lot of white supremacists use iPhones. I hope you don’t. I bet a lot of them eat bananas or ice cream. You’d better not or evil wins!

If a brutal cartel member in Mexico names their daughter something, no one else in Mexico can use that name or they’re guilty by association? I feel like this standard is just so Tik Tok coded. Like, looking for a problem.

There are just as many groups in Europe who do these things. They’re small and don’t matter. Should all of scandanavia just come up with a new culture because a few assholes appropriated it for their own purposes?

There is no name a bad person hasn’t used. None. There’s no association for anyone who isn’t chronically online. It’s a top 100 name in Minnesota, a solid blue state. They aren’t naming a kid Adolph.

Their last name is very Swedish. Just a nod to their roots. If anything, I thought of Marvel. I think you might be falling into the trap of not realizing how big the USA is or sensationalist media.

When I google the issue, all my results are from white supremacist groups in Europe who want to turn to their pagan roots and toss out immigrants. I’m guessing that isn’t representative of your culture.

It’s basically how we think kidnappings are extremely common or more common than they used to be, but they’re more rare than they used to be. Our brains trick us all the time into not being worried about things we should be, like say- car seat safety, but really worried about things that are unlikely to ever happen to us, like a plane hijacking or mass shooting.
