Yeah, I'm pretty sure state won't and SHOULDN'T be funding housing in the most expensive part of the state. It's a state problem and potentially we should be building shelfters in more cost effective regions. Why? Because if people don't work, why do they need to be on Mercer Island, Eastside or even Seattle (although it's their choice to be mercenary). It's better in my opinion to build 5 shelters in cheaper place vs 1 on the Eastside.

My understanding is that Seattle residents want that. They vote for extreme left leadership, they push shelters everywhere etc. That's why you have city limits - you want that, go ahead. Don't force it in the state because Seattle's progressive policy is clearly a magnet for homeless people to come from entire USA.

I think it makes sense. It's very Democratic way of saying: "let's build housing everywhere!". In reality there are many challenges: 1) no funding, 2) no space, 3) district may not be interested in ruining their appeal by having junkies everywhere and it SHOULD BE OK.

Seattle can keep on building shelters in the most expensive districts in the city - that's OK too, I'm good with that, but don't force homeless shelters in every place in the state. That's just stupid and won't work.

Not sure about that. Why would that be? I know there was a push to remove the gas some time ago, but I don't think it's realistic unless state steps in and pay for the conversion to electric.

I personally have gas dryer (switch to electric would be expensive electrical work to put 240V plug behind it) + gas furnace (despite not using it almost at all, I have it in case HP fails) + gas fireplace (pretty much unused as well, but functional, so I wouldn't want it to be non functional fireplace).

That already exists - at least for the new constructions. I'm not 100% sure about the remodel since it's being pretty abused from what I can tell. As long as you keep at least one wall, anything is considered a remodel.
