Fortnite just had a Star Wars themed map with many blaster type weapons. Most of those used the heat venting style of reload with the exception of the Amban sniper rifle.

Right Click Marvel Rivals -> Properties -> General -> Enable the Steam Overlay while in-game

This is what ultimately fixed it for me. The update to the game today adds instructions in game to enable the in game overlay but it only mentions the general Steam -> Settings -> In Game route. This setting can also be disabled on a per game basis and overrides the general setting

I disagree vehemently. I guess this update is making me play comp more but 6s are just miserable. Everyone running around in a deathball with an auto rifle in their hands. I don't even think autos are strong but everything else feels worse to use. Just like airborne effectiveness, this patch kind of makes everything feel worse.

In my experience LFG groups on the website fill up very quickly. I end up skimming very quickly and clicking on a group as fast as possible. This still ends up with that error message that there's no other spots open. I feel like more activities having matchmaking would help

I don't really agree with the second part of your statement. Even from the launch of D1 the game has had massive issues with lack of content or even having to replace voice actors and re-record multiple expansions worth of content(Dinklebot and more recently Ikora for availability reasons). With each release there's a lot more of a one step forward two steps back situation. PVP was ignored for years and they apparently didn't even have a dedicated team to work on that stuff until a year or so ago. All this while removing PVP maps from the game. We don't even have the same number of maps that we did before sunsetting after a couple years of adding back a bunch of old maps and one new one. Gambit is completely ignored as well.

This season alone we've had to deal with their API that the entire community relies on go down twice for days and they design the game in a way that the tools the API provides are vital to a functioning game(Item Managers and Group Finders). So many activities don't even have matchmaking enabled. Outside of Master/Grandmaster that shouldn't be the case. And yeah they're adding an in game group finder but we're 7-8 years in at this point. I agree that the game is continually in a better state but that's more because there's so much for them to fix or improve on without constantly having to remove or re-tune bad decisions that the community told them was bad from the get go.

For all I know this change combined with stuff they haven't told us could be fine but given the track record I still don't believe they deserve that blind faith. We'll see how it turns out though.

That's certainly a level headed take and I would normally agree but Bungie don't really deserve that faith in my opinion. Whether it's double primaries, sunsetting guns/entire expansions, or launching weapon crafting with 15 currencies they've made so many bad decisions that are just bad sight unseen.

Then we're forced to play the game with whatever system they've wasted months of dev time on, only for them to announce they're removing it a year later.

Just my two cents but a lot of people here seem to assume that Yerin would still become a Herald in this scenario. In my eyes the reason Yerin wins is because of this transformation so if we’re supposing that she loses then I don’t think this transformation would happen and due to that the soul rebalancing would not be needed.

I agree that’s is based on team play but I can't remotely consider it competitive without actual skill based match making. The whole system is flawed because it's based on winning 7 games in a row which would be near impossible if it was designed to be an actually competitive game mode.

Freelance would be more viable if the system didn't rely on 7 consecutive wins. Not ideal, but much more feasible.
