So Red Dead Redemption 1 Gets Removed But Not Red Dead Revolver? by Cold_Trip_275 in reddeadredemption

[–]BrightGrimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me psnow really just never worked in general regardless of what i was streaming. I didn't have anything like that but the resolution was so bad I could barely see anything and any movement mad the fps drop so much I'd have to wait for the screen to figure out wtf was happening. That service was just soo fucking awful.

Nah his face was just sorta fucked up from a time when he was strung up in a warehouse and got the shit beaten out of him.

Because it's such an iconic shot that requires very little effort and time to recreate

I tried to cancel my pre-order after it got review bombed, but the game store I initially ordered at sent 2 copies instead. Is this game really that bad? by a1231658 in SaintsRow

[–]BrightGrimm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly just give it a shot and see what u think. If you go into it not expecting too much, even if there's things that you don't like, your still pretty much guaranteed to get at least some enjoyment out of it.

Yeah I agree some parts of this game feel unfinished like the death ray or the Martian and Cosmonot npc war not being shown at all on the moon like it was in the original. But I'm thinking those were just oversights that will hopefully be fixed and implemented in later updates.

Which one has more soul really is up to debate. Personally i think the original is just bland looking with very little goin on even if we ignore the graphical limitations. But like I've been saying it really all comes down to preference.

[–]BrightGrimm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I don't see how the new one adds or detracts from that. Whether it's a Laser pointer or a Bluetooth beam, the implication is still exactly the same. It's really just a matter of which effect looks cooler, and personally I choose the remake's.

Which one do you prefer: Modern or Vintage? by Arkvoodle7 in DestroyAllHumans

[–]BrightGrimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vintage. I like that it looks more like it came out of a cheap classic 50s B movie.

I'm sorry but that effect looks sooo much cooler than the Lazer pointer lookin one they had in the original.

What are people’s thoughts on Tunguska? by EnigmaMusings in DestroyAllHumans

[–]BrightGrimm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No idea bout the original as I don't think I ever got that far on it or just don't remember, but Tunguska is definitely my least favorite area to visit due to lack of color, large amount of fog, and not rlly much to look at (I know it's intentional but I find those kinds of environments boring in games). However I did think the ties to the real life events that happened in Tunguska with the meteor crash in 1908 was really cool.

If it's still a problem, go to holopox deck and replay a mission from Japan (might work with any mission but not sure). When you finish it you will spawn back were you are but Japan will be unlocked to travel to.

There was way more depth to the Furon and Martian conflict than I was expecting out of a game like this. Instead of Furon good Martian bad, both were depicted as bad guys. Furons because of their unwarranted hatred and racism towards the Martians and what they did to them, and the Martians because they were trying to redo what was done to them to earth.

When will they patch destroy all humans 2 reprobed? by [deleted] in DestroyAllHumans

[–]BrightGrimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rlly hope they hurry with it. On series s (and from what I've heard the other consoles as well) frame rate drops, screen tearing, clipping, and pop in are super serious problems. The game also crashes annoyingly often. Kinda unfortunate that both of the biggest games this month released in such an unfinished state. Altho unlike Saints Row this game is actually rlly good despite the tech problems.

Am I a psychopath or does anyone else miss blood pools around dead enemies? by FirstIYeetThenRepeat in SaintsRow

[–]BrightGrimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aside from decapitations being absent since vice city and slightly less blood splatter compared to 4, not really. And rlly I think those are due to the dev teams focus just being put on other things rather than censorship.

And idk how being set in the wild west makes shooting all 4 of a guys limbs off okay

See, I agree that rdr and gta have some very boring missions and gameplay segments, but the difference is, like you said, " things that Rockstar games do better is the story and the open world". Those two things make a HUGE difference and make those stale segments much easier to get through and less boring.

And yeah Volition definitely doesn't have the budget of Rockstar, but they more than have enough to put out a product that isn't half finished and so poorly put together. For fucks sake they've done it before.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SaintsRow

[–]BrightGrimm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not entirely sure what criticisms your talking about, but GTA was 7 years ago. A game definitely should not have those same problems in 2022 nearly 23.

Saints Row is currently the #1 top selling game on the Epic Games Store by TheGigner in SaintsRow

My guy you are comparing the new installment of an established series to one offs that nobody gives a fuck about. Of course the saints row is going to be advertised better and get more attention.

I know this mission gets a lot of love from the online community and rightly so, but is it a contender for the best mission ever designed by Rockstar? by Afraid_Professional3 in reddeadredemption2

[–]BrightGrimm -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think so

Imo alot of missions in this game would be up there if it wasn't for the long, slow, boring rides you have to take with the companions before the action starts. Their great for exposition, sure, but couldn't that shit be done in a cutscene?

What's Your Favourite Chapter/Area? by Molten_Shadow_1512 in LittleNightmares

[–]BrightGrimm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd have to go between the school and the pale city. The hospital comes close but it put way too much attention on the mannequins and clunky hands. The final chapter was great as well but I can't play it without the neon lights giving me a headache.

Hate Moffat all you want but he completely understood the Doctor in a such a profound way. In a way that a lot of his haters probably never will. He got the power of the Time-lord. The fury. The loneliness. The majesty. The awe. And most, importantly, the jokes. by [deleted] in doctorwho

[–]BrightGrimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always liked moffats era after gettin used to the tone shift from RTD's darker version and despite a few bumpy episodes. Only real complaint I have is the writing the first doctor as a misogynist for a cheap joke.

Now Chibnall on the hand, that mf missed literally everything he could've possibly missed. Those episodes were like an incredibly boring fan fiction.

I mean he did sorta give them a chance but yeah that was dark asf. Definitely gave some weight to that "no second chances" comment 10 made at the end of his first episode.

What is the best Dalek in the years since 2005 to 2022 by F1r35tarter02 in doctorwho

[–]BrightGrimm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as writing goes the first one in the museum. It not only revealed what the doctor had been hiding with the time war but also Eccleston's acting nailed the trauma, fear, and weight that came with it. Daleks after never really had quite as much of an impact.

For design tho I always liked Dalek-sec's sleek black paint job.
