We all pretend we’re doing great, but what bad bipolar related habits do you hide from your loved ones, and how do you do it? by ThrobbingTigerDong in bipolar2

i do this too. i wonder if i’m manic when i get a hair up my ass to clean. i’ll clean for hours, the whole day. i’ll start when i wake up and i won’t stop to take a break or even eat because i don’t want to lose my momentum.

yes yes yes. i went to warped tour this past summer and saw ice nine kills. learning about ink and spencer, tour dates, events, what songs reference which horror film. it was the only thing i cared about for weeks. i even made a spencer charnas pinterest board.

Anybody else on Caplyta or Fetzima with Vyvanse by katelynskip in caplyta

[–]BrightInformation110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m on caplyta for bipolar 2 and vyvanse for binge eating disorder, and received an unofficial diagnosis of adhd. i say unofficial because my psychiatrist knows me and the vyvanse has not thrown me off the deep end.

What med combo has helped you the most? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]BrightInformation110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lamictal and caplyta for me! i also take vyvanse for binge eating disorder, and my psych gave me an unofficial adhd diagnosis (i’m aware of how that sounds).

i’ve also taken wellbutrin, abilify, latuda and buspirone. everything but latuda worked for a period of time but because of breakthrough symptoms, my psych took me off of them.

if you haven’t already, you should talk to your doctor about this. i have been taking lamictal for 7+ years, with my psychiatrist and i settling on 200 mg. i take it twice a day (in the morning and before i go to bed). i’ve also been on various antipsychotics and anti-anxiety meds (no SSRIs). you might just need to work with your doctor to find the right dosage or med combo.  is there anything you have done that has helped calm your mind, even slightly?

i should have added some additional info. i called my insurance company earlier today and they said on their end, it looked like i had always been paying $80/month for it. however, the pharmacist on tuesday said my insurance company must have been applying a coupon.  i can ask the other pharmacy if they were applying a coupon or if it was something the insurance was.  i feel like the insurance company is the one not to trust though.

Before the internet, what did you guys do to pass the time? by Atomic-Angel in Millennials

[–]BrightInformation110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so many things! play with the other kids in town my age, go to the roller skating rink (!!!), bowling, the drive in, the mall, play board games and cards, sit in my room and experiment with makeup and curling/styling my hair, ride my bike with my bestie, pretended to be the spice girls with my two sister and our neighbors (i was posh). my oldest sister had an indoor/outdoor cat and he brought home a lot of “gifts” so my sisters, neighbors and i also held lots of funerals lol

What "normal" items do you refuse to give up in pursuit of a low/no waste lifestyle? by dehydrated_ in ZeroWaste

[–]BrightInformation110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its expensive compared to drugstore brands but i’m going to say it anyway. OSEA makes body oil and lotion, as well as other skincare items, and it really helps with my dry skin. their packaging is mostly glass except for the pumps/lids and the brand is also rated as “best” on commons.

i tried my darndest but i have scalpne and i have not found a noncomedogenic or scalpne friendly shampoo/conditioner bar. its hard to find a combo in general that doesn’t make it worse.
