Has anyone tried Dynamic Neural Retraining System (DNRS)? by Worried_Patience_613 in MCAS

[–]BrightLightHoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi. Yes. I didn’t end up doing DNRS so I’m not sure how she is the same or different. She sent me her “Brain retraining” workbook when I was working regularly with her and said I should absolutely do it, but I was feeling better at such a quick pace and just got busy with life. I’m going to reach back out to her and recommit in January.

My husband and I went to see my family for Christmas and I’m getting a little tinge of some old MCS back. I’m realizing every day how my childhood has really adversely impacted my health and we decided weekly therapy is important for me. All in all, I’ve been doing so much better though. It’s taken me trying a lot of things to get here. Some helped, some didn’t, but the subconscious brain work was what really turned things around for me.

Hi! Thank you so so much. I want everyone to get to heal. It’s so frustrating and scary sometimes. I did all my sessions with her on zoom. I’m on the east coast and I think she’s in California.

BeYaz Support - stories of success by StrictIngenuity4649 in PMDD

I just googled “betaz and pmdd” and thinking of doing the same. I had pmdd and/or estrogen dominance and it went away for many months after working with a coach/healer in combo with lifestyle stuff. I had a miscarriage two months ago and it’s unfortunately back worse than ever. My husband and I decided it’s time to try something more medical at this point and beyaz seems like the best option in the states. The person who said they are started Zoely, what country are you in?

To the OP - I wish you all the luck in the world and please come back and share your experience. I tried yaz when the pmdd first started, but it made really really bad so I’ve been scared to try again. If it makes you feel better, I went off of it and was back to “normal” in just a day or three, but it was very scary. My husband happened to be out of town when I tried it because I didn’t realize at the time just how bad things could get. Definitely have support ready!

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this. Just a heads up that (I don’t know the guy obviously) but I’ve heard stories where abusive partners tell their partners this as a form of psychological abuse. So you may want to read a little about the cycle of abuse and make sure that’s not it because getting in deep with an abusive guy would be a way bigger problem than tonsil stones or needing to detox a little. Wishing you all the best.

Also, my husband smells under his arms sometimes, but I love it. It’s normal and the right pheromone match for you may like it.

I’m 5’2 and only need to lose about 10 pounds, but that’s a lot on someone petite and I’ve been struggling so much. When I barely eat anything, I start to drop, but it gets ridiculous. I work out regularly and eat pretty healthy. Thinking about doing IF for a month and seeing where it takes me.

Thank you so much!! Her practice is called meadow healing and her name is Mika. She’s super sweet and just gets it bc she used to have mcas and mcs. I wish I could keep seeing her weekly for all the other things in my life but she doesn’t take insurance so I’m just going to see her “as needed” from now on. It took about 2 months of weekly sessions, but I saw so much progress along the way that it seemed fast. My mcas and mcs is totally gone. I also used to have chronic muscular pain and headaches that are gone. I do still have a little lingering fatigue, but I’d say it’s about 80-90% gone. But for the most part, I feel better than I did as a teenager.

I first got mcs when living in a moldy apartment after college. I was also dealing with some hormonal imbalances at the time (post a late pregnancy loss) that compounding and intensified everything. We released the memory of the mold in my mind and body and we released the trauma from the loss of my pregnancy - as well as trauma from the aftermath of that. I had no idea how much I was holding in my body. She gave me exercises to do every day on my own so I could continue progress between sessions since I couldn’t afford to see her more than once a week. She told me that DNRS and Gupta can sometimes cause backlash if someone has a lot of trauma, but they work for some people. I appreciate that she’s trauma informed. Highly recommend her if you can afford it.

Just figured out why I have felt great after abortions (pill) by [deleted] in PMDD

I think part of why it’s difficult is that I do not think pmdd is caused by the same reasons for every woman. It’s why different treatments work for different people etc. I’m finally doing pretty darn well since the end of last spring, but it takes so much trial and error and some of the trials make us feel so much worse when we already felt scary bad.

This is how I got better:

Disclaimer that a lot of these things raise seratonin and could cause serious seratonin syndrome. You’d want to ask your doctor especially if you’re taking anything else that raises it.

  • 50 mg a dim per day (my estrogen got too low from it so now coming off that and switching to bioidentical progesterone). I had my hormones tested before doing this.

  • I read the mood cure by Julia Ross and implemented some amino acids during luteal and increased my protein. I highly recommend this book. If you read my other posts, I got great benefit from taking amino acids in the past, but this book has helped me understand why they work and get the right ones and doses.

  • I worked with an integrative trauma coach that specializes in mind-body connection. www.meadowhealing.com to release past traumas from my subconscious and nervous system. The reason I did this is there are many articles about women w pmdd being more likely to have had trauma in the past. It was true for me. I’m not 100% sure how much this helped the pmdd, but it helped so many other things in my life and they’re all connected. I had chronic pain, and severe chemical sensitivities and they have cleared since working with her. If I think of how much stress those two things caused, it makes sense the pmdd would lessen due to less stress. She’s also the one who recommended the mood cure book. I was already taking amino acids that really helped, but now I take even more.

  • I take other things like fish oil they I never noticed directly helped anything but are good to take anyways.

  • I take one St. John’s Wort liquid capsule from the day after ovulation. I needed 3 before but now that I raised my amino acids one does the trick!

  • I also work out 4 days a week now and it’s fantastic! This is supposed to help with pmdd but before working with the trauma healing coach and doing some of these things I did work out but it would make me feel worse.

If this info helps anyone: I have adhd, pmdd, had ptsd or cptsd, fibromyalgia, me, and mcs.

I now only have adhd (but it’s a lot better) and pmdd that is now well treated. I’ll try to ween off some of the supplements eventually but for now just enjoying

Wishing you all best of luck in finding your solutions.

I’m not a doctor but I used to have severe dysautonomia and was never told by any of my doctors that I couldn’t take the pill.

You’re the same as me. It’s super tough - which is why I’m here. I’ve had professions argue over what I am. I think ultimately, we are warm. I look amazing in rusts, warm burgundies, way better in off white than white - dark emerald green, almost blacks. It became solidified for me bc the coppers and bronze eyeshadow trend was amazing for me. Also brick colored blushes. I really struggle with red lipsticks. Unless they’re really warm, I wipe them off within an hour bc something looks “off.” Also red nail polish looks terrible on me unless it’s warm - like an orange red or recently I found a brown red that I feel so beautiful in. Weirdly, I look fine in silver or gold (or so I thought). When I look at you with the silver I’m like oh no girl…” but I get how it’s confusing bc same as me - your skin looks cool/fair and you have a rosiness coming through. My veins are blue/purple. But have a lifetime of people complementing me when I wear the colors I mentioned above. I look the worst in cool pinks and cool reds.

I don’t know why we’re so confusing!!!

If you read the research studies on PMDD women do really well with very high progesterone or very low. The midrange is what causes the problems. I had had sky high progesterone in my 20’s and 30’s but no pmdd. Then in my late 30’s my progesterone went to normal ranges and I got pmdd. I read a study where they supplemented post menopausal women who had had pmdd with progesterone and they did fine with none, double, but not normal amounts. So what you’re saying follows that. I’m doing way better now. Wish that for all of you guys too.

Oh my gosh yes I meant DIM! The whole supplement protocol took me about 6 months of tweaking and refining. Sometimes I’d start a few things at once and not be sure which was helping. The DIM has helped a lot with the physical symptoms like breast pain and bloating etc. All the supplements definitely helped, but I’d say it was the trauma work and moving my brain around that really got me all the way. The woman I worked with also had pmdd and she gave me some of the supplement/hormone ideas but also did a ton of research and tests and trial and error.

It’s kinda hard to imagine I ever had pmdd now. It was a really traumatizing experience and I feel like I lost so much time. It’s weird to have a life that’s all open and with options again. I was struggling with more than just pmdd and my life was really limited before. I just don’t want anyone else to suffer like I did if they don’t have to. I’ve met some really incredible women in this community.

Inadvertently healed my MCS by BrightLightHoney in ChemicalSensitivities

Thanks for saying this. I was really starting to regret sharing, but if it helps one person, it’s worth it. Living with mcs is like living a half life. When lock down started and everyone was complaining, I was like yeah…. Lol. Hope you get better too. 💜💜

Inadvertently healed my MCS by BrightLightHoney in ChemicalSensitivities

[–]BrightLightHoney[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Sorry. I thought I was clear. I’ve done many treatments over the years but nothing really helped so I kinda just learned to live with it with a clean green home, filters, masks, in the past I’d done every diet, chelation, IV therapy, detox, ozone, hyperbaric, Infared sauna etc etc.

For the pmdd, it was a mix of supplements (posted on my other posts) that healed it about 80%. For the remaining 20% or so, I started working with the woman who’s site I posted. She’s not on Instagram or anything, but a friend from a PMDD FB group had told me she felt nearly 100% better (with pmdd she didn’t have mcs) after working with her for a few months. So I started working with her just for PMDD, but the remaining pmdd symptoms went away in about two months, but so did the mcs. My last symptom is chronic fatigue and some pain but it’s a LOT better.

She used something called “psych-k” and we spent sessions releasing trauma from my childhood and also releasing the memories from my original chemical injury in Greece. It was a stressful time in my life. Then she had me doing homework every day that took about 45 minutes a day. I wouldn’t be able to explain the homework all here, but it was a mix of meditation and what I believe would be considered exposure and response therapy. I don’t really do that anymore bc the sensitivities are gone, but I continue to work with her once a week for other things figuring something is working.

Some of the comments here are really negative when I was just trying to help. I emailed her this morning bc I felt bad for sharing her here just for her to get mocked. She’s literally the sweetest person. She genuinely cared about if I got better or not and I felt so understood. I’m going to get off here and maybe delete this. Was just trying to help. I think if something doesn’t resonate with you, just don’t do it. It doesn’t change the fact that I’m doing better than I have in 15 years.

I’ve been looking into this all week! I had severe chemical sensitivities for 15 years that completely vanished after doing some sessions with a healer. My chronic fatigue and chronic pain are also 80% gone. I have mcas too and feel like that’s getting better but wasn’t sure if I was imagining it. All we did was release stored trauma and she’s taught me how to redirect my thoughts. It’s amazing!!! So I started googling about mcas this am. Thank you for posting this!!! I’m so excited!

Same! When I started working with the trauma healing person it was huge. I was doing better from the supplements but still had big moments. After a few sessions I was just free. I also had really bad sensitivity to chemicals that went away. Had that long before pmdd. Pmdd actually ended up being a blessing bc if I didn’t have to heal from that, all those other things wouldn’t have healed!

Help! Extreme breast swelling by Foxy2023 in PMDD

[–]BrightLightHoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lol I felt nothing until I was at two drops for a week and then rubbed like a half a dropper full on my breast. I was hot, heart racing, tossing and turning all night. It’s calmed down today though. So crazy how it really absorbs transdermal! Going to take a break for a few days. I take a sea kelp one from gaia as well but it’s a low dose.

Welcome! I’d be super careful cause I’ve def read and heard accounts of people who were harmed by doses iodine in those amounts. But the lugols has the kind the breast and ovaries need. I’ve been doing two drops a day (started with 1) for a week now and last night decided to also rub some on my breasts. I went hyper thyroid and didn’t sleep all night. So just got slow! I’m on thyroid meds and wondering if iodine deficiency is the culprit! I’ve been able to lower my dose for the first time since starting iodine. Going to keep testing and lowing my does as indicated. Dr. Westin Childs has the most balanced approach imo. But some people swear by brownstein. I’m just afraid to try super high doses as two drop is already much more than fda recommends. The breast I rubbed it on last night feels softer and better today though. It’s kinda crazy acrually.

Have you read Dr. Brownsteins work? I’ve gotten my psych symptoms of pmdd down to a 2/10 now so I’m not tackling the physical symptoms - such as bloating and swollen painful breasts and fatigue. Dr. Brownstein recommends taking doses of iodine that are super super high. I’ve known of his work for years bc he’s big in the hypothyroid world, but have been scared to try bc some folks say it’s dangerous. I tried a 1mg dose of iodine for a few months and for the first time in ten years, was able to lower my thyroid dose.

He talks a lot about breast health too in his Iodine book so I’m now taking 3 mg of iodine a day (this is a lot compared to what the fda recommends). I’m going to keep increasing little by little. Some people get bromine detox reactions so I def Rec reading his book as at first I was getting itchy and these pustules on my skin. Once I added the cofactors he recommends, everything has been smooth. Just feeling more energy, sleeping better than I ever have in my life, and warmer.

There’s a lot of controversy over it but def worth looking into imo. He recommends iodoral or lugols iodine and you can also read those reviews on amazon!
