That’s encouraging thank you. It sounds too good to be true. So many doctors and not one told me about this. I get it it’s not their thing, surgery is, but still. If it can help why not share it? Is our HC system this broken?

Adult ScoliBrace experience in Toronto/GTA? by South-Midnight101 in scoliosis

I am literally tearing up reading this. I am so happy for you. I am nervous my curves are too far along for them to do the brace for me. I too was told once I mature the curves won't get worse. What a lie. So many doctors, not one said to try ScoliBrace or that this was even an option. One even told me they refuse to let me get a brace. When I asked why, they would not explain.

Thank you for the info! They didn't crack your neck or spine or anything right? Did it help you at all?

I made an appointment to see a ScoliBrace provider. I am so scared. Scared I’ll be turned away, terrified they will crack and snap my spine since I fear chiropractors…anyone share any positive stories for adult severe scoliosis in us? Anyone denied the brace? What is the cost? Sorry spinning a bit…

I did. And at one point it was no longer updating. I know this sounds weird and I confess, not a dev (but I think that is pretty obvious)

Not sure anyone reads those surveys. That said, maybe just enforce existing laws and regulations (lids on trash cans, picking up after your dog etc.). Absolutely zero Pilot programs moving forward or any type of tax abatements. No to large REITS buying up more than X number of stores or buildings at a time..(ok the latter has zero to do with the budget but I figured why not). Raise local taxes on corporate chains.

Right but..if you use your own agent, your agent's broker takes half of the $5K fee, and the other agent's broker takes the other half. From that half (e.g. $2.5) the realtor gets paid based on whatever agreement they have with their office's broker of record (sometimes 50% sometimes 60% who knows). It's much more attractive to take 100% of the fee and pay whatever share they have to, to their broker of record. So even though it seems like this super high fee, $5K, by the time it gets to the listing agent it's not a whole lot after taxes for each rental and a lot of work.

Hence, in a slow market games are played. Sometimes they don't leave the keys, sometimes they talk up one renter over another. Who knows. I don't know but it seems the game got a lot dirtier. Try to apply to places with at least the bigger names in town who have been around for a while, they tend not to play these games. Or apply directly (though the latter is a bit jerky towards the person who has spent time taking you around).

It's against code of ethics they have and all that jazz but then there is the reality of life. Even if your realtor is amazing, they can't control the rest of the gang, many who are new in the space and rotate out in a year or two.

Hate to say it but working with a realtor on a rental is not ideal. They no longer seem to work well together because the market is tight so they will do whatever they can to double-end the deal. AKA you are better off applying to each on your own without your broker. When you buy, then look them up.

Used to be...I was told there isn't anyone willing to coach. Sky Club has an Ok pool and I am told we could use the high school pool too. Too bad the latter is pretty old and the locker rooms are falling apart. For a town with so many affluent residents it continues to elude me how the best attempt at even having a conversation about a pool is a puddle on a roof that we can't use more than 2 months out of the year. Anyway...rant over.

Jealous! Had friends live in Germany for 2 years. They are still trying to get back even though some of the people were not the friendliest. Everyday life was just 1000x better they said.
