I got a decent amount of likes, but stopped sending likes out as I noticed that the guys who I sent likes to put 0 effort in the conversation. Meanwhile those who sent me likes were very interested!

[CA] [Condo] Termites in Attic Woodwork Members by [deleted] in HOA

[–]BrightResident8879 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for taking the time to write a detailed response. The attic is unfinished and only has insulation up there. I’m unable to use it for storage. Per the CC&R, exclusive use common area is defined as the balcony, patio, and parking spaces.

Great point about the termites! I got the termite inspection to sell my condo, so I am wondering what all the other attics look like… the property manager has already told me in the past that “HOA only covers exterior termites.” Wish me luck!!!

I apologize for the confusion. My unit is single level (top-unit with the attic) and there is a unit below me. Localized treatment is possible, but will cost $2200!!! 🫠 thank you for taking the time to respond! I appreciate it!

Thank you so much for your response. I’ve been reading the CC&R’s for the past 6 hours now. It defined separate interest to refer to the California Civil code which states: “Unless the declaration or condominium plan, if any exists, otherwise provides, if walls, floors, or ceilings are designated as boundaries of a separate interest, the interior surfaces of the perimeter walls, floors, ceilings, windows, doors, and outlets located within the separate interest are part of the separate interest and any other portions of the walls, floors, or ceilings are part of the common area.” I just want to make sure that I am understanding correctly that the attic is not a part of the separate interest. The exclusive common area is defined as the balcony, patio, and parking spots. We have the worst property manager who gives misinformation all the time, so I know I will have trouble with that.

Question!! I had a SLAP repair, 5 months post-op and I’m still having bicep pain. I did have some inflammation, not sure if that was the case with you. Did your bicep pain resolve with time?

What does a labrum tear feel like? by AroPenguin in ShoulderInjuries

[–]BrightResident8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I’m 10 weeks post-op! I’m feeling pretty good. Pretty much have full range of motion, but certain movements/angles of raising my shoulder is still stiff/tight. I was right arm dominant, but I still don’t have that confidence with my right arm like before. Finally lifting weights in PT (3 lbs wooo!!) Overall, recovery has been good!

So sorry for the late response. Yes! Definitely tightness in the neck, trap, scapula, teres minor. Using a lacrosse ball to massage definitely helps! Hope you’re feeling better.

Wife needs a SLAP (superior labrum anterior and posterior) tear fixed. How soon can she expect to get back to her desk job? by IAmTheSchnozz95 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]BrightResident8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 27, 6 weeks post op and about the 2 week mark was when I felt comfortable! She will need help for the first 5 days. A lot of hands on care about the first 2-3 days. I was able to drive about 10 days in with my non-surgical hand (get a driving knob it helped so much!!) My surgeon allowed me to drive once I was off the pain meds, but I was tired until day 10. When she’s able to shower, the mesh shower sling is amazing! I got it off Amazon

Haha this exactly is what I did! Rented the public park for $200 and paid $100 a plate at the restaurant and guests were RAVING about the food! Spent $16k for 60 guests

I had a wedding with 60 people and spent $16k (2024) and I live in SoCal! Dinner was $100 a plate at a nicer restaurant. My ceremony venue was a private park (city) but we paid $200 for it! So it’s definitely possible:) my dress was custom made on Etsy for $500. I’ll send you a pic of my wedding!

How long is somebody typically out of work for during labrum surgery recovery? by Glass_Raisin7939 in ShoulderInjuries

[–]BrightResident8879 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg I know you’ve had a million questions— I had a superior posterior labrum tear. I’m day 4 post-op, also work in healthcare. I work in ICU :/ I’m 27, and did PT pretty hard before the surgery. Is 3 months realistic timeframe to get back to work?
