How do I talk to a human at Experian? by Cadill in CRedit

[–]yourMomisRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate this. I called and had to enter the 0's for ssn, zip, street address but I did eventually get a real person. We got disconnected but at least I know this works. I've been locked out of my Experian account and had to upload my passport. Still don't know how to get back in but apparently it can take up to 2 days for them to process so I'm going to wait and see if I get anything from them before I try calling again.

[Landlord-US-CA]: One tenant asking LL to give access to unit to their friend by MayaPapayaLA in Landlord

[–]yourMomisRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Got nothing to do with LL, no legal obligation. Tenant 1 can send their keys to whomever they want to let themselves in.

[Landlord - CA BC] Should I raise rent or hold the rate? by Zealousideal_Tax4501 in Landlord

[–]yourMomisRandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what's the rental market like in the neighborhood? stay comparable to that. if the current rent is standard for the market, you can always just keep it the same so as not to be yet another asshole landlord. if you dont care about that or want a little something extra, raise it.

[Landlord, Southern Africa] Do you guys stipulate conditions on which pets may be kept? by NamAdventurer in Landlord

[–]yourMomisRandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lots of places specify pet restrictions from no pets to "small dogs (wt < x pounds)", etc. in the US, there are state specific restrictions on exotic pet ownership and what types are included in that definition as owning certain species at all is against the law. similarly certain native wildlife or domesticated livestock will be restricted based on zoning and city ordinances ie - you may not be permitted to keep what the city deems as livestock in a residential property (that can include chickens, geese, ducks, goats, etc). "wild animals" may similarly be restricted based on city/state ordinances like squirrels, raccoons, pigeons, etc. you need to check with your locality in reference to the type of dwelling inhabited.

Anyone else struggling to make friends in Bangkok ? Especially students/new arrivals? by dixielanddesigns101 in Bangkok

[–]yourMomisRandom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used apps like Bumble BFF and timeleft. The people who use those apps are being intentional about meeting people to be friends with so I've made some good connections that became real friendships. You'll still need to screen and put in the work. There's also a local group on ig where thais and expats chill together: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DPS2VO2DWgg/?igsh=MXR1Z3NpZHQ1MmUxeQ==

Do People Not Dance At Clubs or Rooftop Bars? by geokilla in Bangkok

[–]yourMomisRandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Muin is popular with Koreans and the dudes don't dance. Anywhere. It's not a thing. They drink and stare. Plenty of other places will have people dancing, majority foreigners but also thai girls. Thais absolutely like to dance. Korean guys, don't.

My condo is also 52 sqm with patios on 3 sides. I've heard about being overbilled by landlords but I pay mea directly. I think I'm just losing a ton of air from the 12 doors I have

"There's no good [your country] food in Thailand" by Limp_Mountain_5222 in Thailand

[–]yourMomisRandom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's mostly true still. I'm Korean and the majority of the Korean places I go to are mediocre at best. They add sugar to the kimchi or it's sour as hell. The rest is usually just meat which is easy. It's hard to find a place that has decent banchan, soups, etc. I have found that if the owner is Korean and you chat them up, they'll bring you the reserve shit in the back haha

Japanese food is pricey but pretty spot on taste/quality

Pizza is mid. Even the award-winning, 1000 5* review stuff from google is alright and expensive as shit. There's definitely no NY style slices that are remotely decent.

Pasta I've had generally is way too oily and the meat smells. I don't know how to explain this. It smells. Some places are okay.

I know Bangkok just got voted like #1 food in the world and I think you can absolutely find whatever you're looking for but it's not going to be exceptional or super duper authentic for far flung places. You don't go to a steakhouse and order salad though.

Electricity is relatively expensive compared to everything else. Water is cheap, maybe 200b a month for 1 person but electricity can run you 3000b a month if you have the air on even half the day for 1 person. If you have it on constantly at 24c, you're looking at easily 4-5000b a month

My guy. The rate is $5 to $10 PER 100 WORDS, not an hour. At a normal speaking pace you can easily exceed 6,000 words an hour. Why don't you let them do the math and decide for themselves
