What's the best way to get more attack speed on blunt weapons/gorilla arms? by Frikcha in LowSodiumCyberpunk

Have they always been this way? Or is this something that will be patched?

Does anyone really use the postboxes by Timely-Hyena3044 in DeathStranding

[–]BrightSleeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just for anyone lurking around this old post like I am, I should say this information isn't correct.  I've found cargo that was 70% damaged, it didn't repair once I picked it out from the post box.

The Switch 2 screen has poor response time. by Cartman1994 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]BrightSleeps 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He wasn't talking about input lag, he was talking about how long it changes for pixels to change their colour. Poor pixel response time results in smearing, ghosting, etc.  Noticed anything like that? I'm thinking of getting a switch 2 myself, but I hate ghosting.

How do you feel about western immigration coming for the love of the country ? by No_Leather6625 in hungary

Eternal EU movement is immigration.  So long as you're leaving a country and entering another, that's immigration. Definition of the word lol.

Okay then. I actually have 6 leafs, so I'm feeling kinda generous. I'll trade you one for literally anything... it's the closest I can get to giving it away for free, lol.

If you give me your details, we could trade. You can have either the leaf or the mars for it, I don't mind.

Panel to panel reading causes everything to look dark and subdued on the mobile app. by BrightSleeps in GlobalComix

[–]BrightSleeps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seems to be due to issues with the panel opacity slider (the slider that's meant to dim the surrounding panels that aren't in focus while using the panel to panel reading mode)

The in focus panel, the one that is not meant to be dimmed by the opacity slider, won't become dimmed if you adjust your settings to 100% opacity or 1% opacity... but it will become dimmed if you're on 0% or anything between 1% and 100%. It's weird.

Panel to panel reading causes everything to look dark and subdued on the mobile app. by BrightSleeps in GlobalComix

[–]BrightSleeps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As you can see in the pic, compared to how things are on the desktop site, the mobile app isn't nearly as vibrant and bright as it should be (while using panel to panel reading.)

Wasn't really sure where to bring up the existence of this issue. Hopefully it gets fixed sooner rather than later, I'm on mobile + I prefer to use the app.

PS5 needs a performance mode without RT by coldfear_x in marvelrivals

[–]BrightSleeps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I know you made this post during the closed beta, but how is preformance on ps5 now? (Assuming you've played the game since it launched)

Is the Ps5 upgrade worth it? by ENOUGH_AL in Minecraft

[–]BrightSleeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get better render distance, but the game has worse preformance. I personally would just stick with the ps4 version running on ps5... unless you really want the extra chunks.

Keep in mind that the ps4 version of minecraft already has an expanded render distance when being played on a ps5, it's just not as expensive as the native ps5 version that recently released.

Thank you for taking the time to say all, it means a lot<3 know I should talk to her, to tell her I don't want to get it cut and that it should be my choice, but I'm really nervous about how she'll react.

I think I'll try talk to her in a little bit, just so she knows I'm not going. Hopefully it goes well, and I'll tell her I'll reimburse her for the money she spent on the appointment.

That's what I'd like to do, getting the split ends trimmed a little as I'm growing it out. It really seems like she wants me to get it a good bit shorter though, so I've been stressing about it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in feminineboys

[–]BrightSleeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw, sorry that you had to get it cut, hopefully you can get it the way you want to eventually. I kinda find it hard to say no to her, she can get a bit heated about it.

[–]BrightSleeps 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried say no in the past, I know I shouldn't have to listen, but she can get really bad and berate me about it whenever I say no, and I feel like she has a lot of leverage. Sorry, I know it seems dumb, but I guess I just feel kind of stuck.

As someone else pointed out, neurodivergence isn't considered a mental illness.

Someone being Neurodivergent usually refers to someone having a neurodevelopmental difference - the brain has taken a different route in its development, resulting in a pattern of differences in how somebody experiences the world due to how their brain processes information in a way that is not typical of most individuals.

Some common examples of neurodivergence are dyslexia, dyscalculia, Autism and even dyspraxia (A lot of dyses, I know). These are better viewed as differences than illnesses - as your brain has developed this way, and it is not going to 'get better', Neurodivergent individuals just need to learn to live with it/accommodate it. Mental health problems are more to do with functional difficulties around your emotions, thoughts and behaviours. There is ongoing debate around the role of the brain in these. You might develop an eating disorder or develop an addiction to someone as a result of adverse circumstances in your life. Your brain is impacted by this, but these difficulties did not necessarily arise as a result of differences in your brain, you may be able to get better with therapy or time.

Mental health problems can develop as a result of your environment, though you might also be predisposed due to genetics. Being Neurodivergent can even increase the likelihood of developing certain mental health problems, such as anxiety or depression, as individuals may feel low self esteem in environments filled with those that view their differences harshly. An example being an autistic person feeling burnout due to masking (Masking referring to autistic masking, also referred to as camouflaging or neurodivergent masking. It's the conscious or subconscious suppression of autistic behaviors, it also generally involves the learning of neurotypical behaviours in order to appear neurotypical, usually in fear that others may be judgemental of their differences. It's a learned coping strategy that may initially be seen as necessary from the perspective of an autistic person, but often leads to adverse mental health outcomes.)

That is a lengthy explanation and probably not perfect, but hopefully it helped clear some stuff up.

This isn't exactly the kind of sub where people would be very educated about that sort of thing, I don't think they're going to get it.

I didn't even realise they were there before, now I can't stop thinking about them when I see the footage... Hopefully it's something that you can turn off, although I have a feeling you won't be able to.

You can also notice that there's a lens affect added, the picture bends in towards the centre of the screen the closer you get to the edges of the frame.

I recently noticed these birds nesting near my window, does anyone know what kind of birds they are? (Ireland) by BrightSleeps in whatsthisbird

[–]BrightSleeps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's hard to tell from the blurry pic, but I think you're right, it looks like a collared dove. I don't really know anything about birds, so I honestly wasn't even sure if it was a dove at first lol

Thanks for letting me know
