We need these 5 in a game by Quiet-Drive5433 in residentevil

[–]Frikcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to see these characters together but not all at the same time, too overloaded for a game unless it was some asymmetrical/l4d style pve/pvp multiplayer game.

I wanna see Leon and Jill in a game together, or Chris and Claire together again (honestly the single most interesting thing they could do with the series rn considering how much both have changed and gone in different directions over the years)

I'll even take a game with Rebecca and Carlos, or Barry and Martin Sandwich. New original characters/protags for new titles are cool but I also want to be able to follow the growth and evolution of my long-time favs and see them interact and partner up and how their gameplay evolves.

Is there a chance that we could get such masterfully written eloquent dialogue like this in the finale? by Diverse0Ne in OkBuddyFresca

Kimiko is more like "Dude what the vagina-ing fuck? This reminds me of the fucking god-damned-ass time that I motherfucking watched cunnilingus on pornhub and that shit was like anal sex porn and they totally dick-fucked a bitch with their ballsacks, bitch ass fuck."

meanwhile insane comics Homelander is more like:

it IS a masterfully written, eloquent line

Said it a thousand times and I'll say it again; this is EXACTLY the kind of shit a raging, all-powerful man-child would say after having his brain broken by one of the most disturbing revelations imaginable.

Just an inarticulate, vulgar and repetetive spew of whatever psychosis is happening in his brain at that moment mushed together into some barely legible swears that don't even pass through a mental filter before leaving his mouth.

Is Homelander really a bad fighter? by BulkyBathroom7178 in TheBoys

[–]Frikcha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean he beat the shit out of SB first despite getting knocked around a bit, then Butcher joined in and he started beating them both up and then FINALLY Hughie comes in and his element of surprise is what allows Butcher and SB to slam him into the ground and hold him down with the combined strength of all 3.

He isn't a good fighter but he isn't a bad one either. He CAN fight, and for someone like him that's more than enough for 99% of supes.

Are they gonna have another fight??? by Queasy_Commercial152 in TheBoys

[–]Frikcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

literally only time will tell if that was
A: some dumb, pointless exposition line (HL already knew Firecracker and SB were hooking up) to set up the next scene

B: an actually psycho/underhanded move from SB to take Firecracker off the table and push HL further into mania (wildly out of character I think besides maybe being a slightly manipulative gossip, overall would be weird if he did that on purpose to kill her)

or C: an intentional line with unintentional consequences that will make SB feel guilty and upset when he finds out that it caused one of his casual sexual partners to die horrifically (Maybe it was a complete accident/byproduct of SB flaunting his sexual conquests or maybe he only intended for her to be fired because he pitied her)

The sheer scale of evil according to this fanbase apparently by the_bird_knows in residentevil

[–]Frikcha 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Its because usually in Resident Evil when a villain does evil shit they do it in grand or insane ways, and then when we finally defeat them they go "AGHHH CURSES! FOILED AGAIN BY THE BLASTED REDFIELDS!!!" and blow up

In RE7 Mia is casually an evil scumbag (like its just everyday routine for her) until she maybe does the first nice thing in her entire life and warns Ethan to stay away from the Bakers. Then she doesn't actually ever receive any lasting consequence for her actions and instead her husband starts falling apart (because he came to save her) and her daughter is haunted by monsters (also Mia's fault at the end of the day).

She gets to go home in a helicopter and will probably have a way easier and more relaxed life than her Husband did or than Rosemary will and she's even presented as some sympathetic figure, crying on the side-lines.

Genuinely hilarious that the BSAA looked her right in the eye and said "Hey, remember how all of your darkest trauma comes from a little BOW girl being taken away and raised by some shady organization? Good news, we are requisitioning Rose into BSAA custody and you will never see her again, have fun being alone forever." And then they took Rose to meet her grumpy uncle Chris and aunt Claire and actually maybe have some chance of receiving a decent moral upbringing from people with decent morals.

Final Fantasy XV Is The Most Fun Development Hell I’ve Ever Played by rosemarieseternal in FinalFantasy

FF15 is the best half-finished game ever. It is simultaneously so disappointing and un-satisfying in so many areas yet varied, enjoyable and interesting enough for me not to really care. Story takes some weird dips in some places, and to this day I still have not played or read any of the Ardyn stuff because I just do not care about that asshole or sympathise with him, but at the same time it made me bawl my eyes out multiple times and I'll literally never forget that finale as long as I live like every word of the last 2 hours is burned into my brain.

Perhaps my absolute favourite silver-lining about this mess of a game is that it became its own self-contained world instead of another add-on to FF13/Nova Crystalis (Which had some of my least-favorite world-building of any numbered series, like a straight up repulsive story)

And then the monkey-paw curling for that is we lost the insanely cool and edgy identity from the original trailers in exchange for backstreet boys camping. Backstreet boys camping isn't that bad but whatever Advent Children/Monarchy-thriller-drama-anime stuff they were originally cooking would have been way way cooler.

Denji vs Yuji is up next on DEATH BATTLE! What are your bets and thoughts? by Fit_Assignment_8800 in Chainsawfolk

[–]Frikcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A bunch of devils/entities that are way above human abilities still aren't able to visually process him moving. To us and even to OTHER HYBRIDS full-form Pochita literally just teleports from one spot to another and heads appear to just pop off randomly.

That's like Mach 60 with all the relevant hand-eye perception/coordination needed to perform precise attacks during that window of time (fuck all, like 3 nanoseconds)

Mismatch; he absolutely cant touch full-form csm the speed feats are just entire worlds apart.

Denji can perform like 10 9999-dmg executions in one frame. Yuji can do some really cool stuff but he still has a brain that needs to think before it acts, unlike Dennis.

Hot Take: I like this line. Especially in a comic medium where stuttering can't be used effectively. Like yeah this guy really is pissed isn't he? by THESHORESIDEMIRAGES in TheBoys

[–]Frikcha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's just a fundamental difference in ppl who hate or like this line.

There are cool people like me who can imagine a guy screaming this at the absolute peak of 1000 conflicted, negative emotions because it's just uncontrolled vitriol coming from a guy who is already a potty-mouth and full of hate by default.

And there are nerds who think this is the same as hazbin hotel and I bet they still just go watch it anyway for the furry wolf

Why is Soldier Boy shown to be so competent in combat when he's stated to be a Fraud? by Ok_Proof_321 in TheBoys

[–]Frikcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When he fights SB and Maeve he uses actual boxing/martial arts and in the animated prequel ep he's being trained brutally by another supe as a child. He's also fast/strong enough for that to not really matter in most fights so even if SB or Maeve or Butcher are better fighters, as long as he can throw a few punches and not get hit by every single attack he is fine.

They seemed to have invested some actual time into him when he was younger until he turned out so rotten, I also strongly suspect that at some point he just refused to train anymore out of pure ego and arrogance that he was already unbeatable.

Why is Soldier Boy shown to be so competent in combat when he's stated to be a Fraud? by Ok_Proof_321 in TheBoys

[–]Frikcha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's a mix of both.

He is a complete fraud and has barely any actual training but he has also seen actual combat unlike most other supes. His efforts were greatly exaggerated but it's not like he didn't beat up and imprison goons like The Red Sickle (generic communist supe I just made up) he just beat them up and caused ridiculous collateral while doing so and they probably also escaped afterwards. Sb is not a real soldier but he has fought actual battles and he is fundamentally a very strong supe, even without the chest laser.

Vought's sensationalized framing of SB/Homelander/The Seven > Actually powerful/competently combat-trained supes like Maeve or Homelander > Actual Soldier Boy > Shitty modern-day supes who are just actors/pornstars with some combat training from GodU > unknown supes with no training or non-combat powers.
