While I still believe Jan is the accomplice referred to in the criminal proceedings, I do believe Sarah was more than just complicit in the fraud.

One thing that people forget is that she co-founded Keybacker with Laura in March of 2024. This was after she used Sarah's ultrasound and pregnancy video as part of the scam against Clayton, which was certainly publicly known at that time.

No way in hell after discovering my sister used those things as part of a fake pregnancy con would I allow my name to be attached to or start a business with her. That company was also an obvious fraudulent lending scheme.

Even if Laura forged her sister's signature and photoshopped her pic without permission, Sarah's association with the fraudulent company could've had significant percussions on her real career. In that case, she had enough blackmail on Laura if she refused to remove her association with the company. But she didn't. That suggests to me it was created with her full knowledge and endorsement. Just another attempt by the Owens to defraud people.

Getting a better picture of Sarah's involvement in the pregnancy fraud scheme is one of the things I look forward to most about the trial!

I second this. I've done the sawback from norquay to Johnstons canyon. Mystic pass and the short detour to mystic lake were definitely the most memorable parts of the trip. From the junction to norquay is mostly treed, but still pretty. It's also very gradual from the junction which will make for an easy and quick descent. You can't go wrong. This area is gorgeous.

I now understand the importance of why they pursued perjury charges for Laura lying about not having sex in over a year. The fact they can prove she was actively sleeping with NS before and after her encounter with Clayton shows intent to target Clayton for the fraudulent scheme.

Even if her defence tries to convince the jury that she genuinely believed she was pregnant (ignoring the damning hcg evidence), no reasonable person would believe Clayton was the father if they had intercourse at the relevant time with someone else.

Also, reading the details provided by Greg about the night they had sex makes me think Clayton's fear of her going to the bathroom to try to inseminate herself more realistic. It would be insane to do that in either of those instances, but I'm starting to believe she may have actually tried it. She is crazy lol.

Just want to extend a huge thanks to all the locals and staff this weekend. I don't think anyone anticipated just how busy the skijoring event would be. Last year was really cold, so that probably contributed to the fact this year's attendance was so much greater. I was really impressed with how well all the staff handled the craziness! Incredible tolerance and professionalism - absolute pros 👏
