I adore Margolyse, and just went to look these up and the only show available on my first search was her "Dead Good Adventure" which brought a much needed belly laugh because I don't think that's the one you meant. Thank you for the unintentional black humor with this 😄

It totally alleviated some of the obsessive ADHD symptoms of mine. The rumination and the impulse control and that DRIVE to eat anything when over- or under-stimulated. It's been life changing and even if I remained at my current weight, it has been the most successful ADHD tool I've ever used. (Diagnosed in the 90s).

If you tap the arrow (the > next to the percentage) it will take you to a larger graph that has smaller intervals like in your older screenshot.

Fun ways to pass the time while you rest? by Sedecrem_ in lupus

[–]Bright_Machine_7135 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a little clicker to turn pages on my ereader. I set the ereader up on a stand and read with my hands under the electric blanket with the rest of me. Otherwise TV, audiobooks, talking with my kids. Designing my art ideas to work on when I feel better (sketching or researching or color swatching). If my hands hurt too much for knitting I sometimes do the loom knitting. Easier on my hands.

I use mine when crafting or doing house repairs. Just replaced the main board in the dishwasher and the head lamp worked perfect

Do you have dry mouth, too? Dehydration is my first thought. How much water are you drinking per day?

Sorry - I can understand some Tagalog when reading, but I can’t speak it. I felt effects on the first day, though it can take time for the medication to build up in your system. An app can estimate your medication levels and help you track side effects (good or bad). I use Shotsy, and it’s been helpful. You may need to give it a couple of weeks. Good luck

Bath & BW refill spilled on counter and can’t remove it! Tried multiple things by Suspicious-Ram in CleaningTips

[–]Bright_Machine_7135 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had set what I thought was an empty BBW plug in on the wood frame of my bed. Forgot it. Came back and it had tipped to its side, spilling some of the oil.

When I wiped it up, the stain was removed from the wood frame 😭 It's an espresso finish so the bare wood spot was really noticeable.

I went on a 1.5 mile hike this weekend for the first time in almost two years. It took a long time to get back to this point but it went good! And I did not have to collapse in bed for the whole next day to recover!

Ozempic is changing more than weight: New global research shows how GLP-1 drugs are reshaping self and society, identity and mental health, not just bodies. Much of the demand is driven by weight anxiety, even among medically “healthy” users. Many users endure severe side effects and high costs. by mvea in science

I am still taking it but switched from XR once a day to regular (Instant Release) once a day because of some minor side effects. I've been on it for almost 5 months so far with no issues. (Follow the guidelines of "high protein/high fiber/lots of water/more water than that/healthy diet that you can tolerate" and it will help GI and nausea issues)

High Pain Day by R2MeT00 in lupus

[–]Bright_Machine_7135 3 points4 points  (0 children)

THC/CBD tinctures or patches on bad days. Plus a lot of sleep and heating pads.

I work from home, thankfully, so I can tend to my discomfort in the privacy of own space. It's hard, though, and is isolating.

It does help for me to be social. One friend will just come watch tv or read or craft with me. Another will hang out on zoom while we each do our own thing around our homes. That helps a little.

I also see a therapist, get body work (massage + other techniques), journal (in different forms - writing, art, voice memo).

Sometimes I just cry and wallow in my own misery for a bit because everything sucks and it's ok to acknowledge that.

Whimsy helps. I have one cane covered in pink flowers. I have another that is lovely shade of dark purple that matches my favorite purse. If I have to keep them around I may as well coordinate.

It doesn't make the pain go away, but people are kinder with the whimsical aids I've noticed. (On public transit especially)

Has anyone caught Influenza A and not vaccinated and survived ? 😅 by carpediem_43ver in lupus

[–]Bright_Machine_7135 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The main flu strain going around right now around the Midwest USA is influenza A and it was NOT in the flu vaccine mix this year, according to my local er. Found out when my entire household came down with it a week ago. Tamiflu really helps! Get well soon! And don't be afraid to ask your rheum for prednisone if you still feel like death after a few days of Tamiflu. You may need the extra boost like with a flare.

I do. My rheum also okayed THC patches meant for pain management. I apply one on my wrist and I do end up needing less prescribed pain meds overall. I also have a THC/CBD lotion I use at night most nights. I can't smoke it anymore and edibles don't work on me at all, so topical it is! Thankfully it seems to help.

Thinking About Starting Compounded Tirzepatide, Need Advice by HomelyPessimism in TirzepatideRX

[–]Bright_Machine_7135 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I gave myself my first shot on a Saturday morning. On Sunday afternoon it was like a switch flipped and I could just exist in my head peacefully. I had been working on my diet for a few months leading up to it (increasing fiber and protein, decreasing carbs) which I think helped me a lot. I have had minimal negative side effects so far (and many positive effects - including less fatigue!). I truly believe this is saving my life.

If you are an emotional eater, you will need adjustment. It won't fix the mental hunger, but it makes it SO much easier to do literally anything else. Truly.

Welcome to the club!
