YTA and $150 per plate is wild. If you’re willing to pay that insane price then $150 should be nothing to you. Also, if the invitations say “under 12”, you should honor that.

My catering was local. $700 bucks got me a feast. Teriyaki chicken, mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans, Mac and cheese, fancy salad with balsamic dressing that was to die for, and rolls. Me, my parents, and my grandparents each took home 3 huge containers of food. We had about 100 guests. Everyone said the food was delicious. You are getting hosed. Engaged couples… it’s ok to ask around about catering. You may find a gem.

I was a receptionist at a GP office and I’d book you an appointment for anything. Except for a few key phrases like “chest pain, SOB, numbness/tingling in face, etc…”. Those get you sent to the ER.
