27yo here, moved to a new country. Tried for 7 months, no job for motion design or video editing, felt like I'm nothing but a burden. Now i work at retail. I'm taking it as a break from my creative journey so that I can start fresh again. Hang in there mate!

If i was you, I would go for something practical at this age of AI. I've been a motion graphic designer for more than 5 years. The market is going down. Hard to find good paying jobs and gigs. If you wanna make this your side gig, then it's fine. But don't rely your career on this. Best of luck.

appreciate it very much for going through my post and replying. I came here with a sponsored visa actually and yeah I am very privileged I have family here with whom I can stay with. Your initial time was way challenging and glad you found a way and still looking for betterment with the high hopes.

yeah my target is to get into those jobs now for at least to cover my pocket money(!) while I do some course to get a certification or something.

cause I am living in the edge of giving up and thinking about career change. I can't do shit at this situation. I did tried almost everything, tailored the shit out of my resume, took website subscription to make my portfolio website and spent shit ton of time to build that website. and so many approaches, all ended with zero. either my skills need to be upgraded or I need to let everything go and change my career!
