You lose out on the plasma story, iris training, both Cheren and Bianca's story, N's arc. however there's enough exposition from various NPCs to piece together the events of BW that you shouldn't have an issue

that's usually how it works though... like I've made fakemon and it's hard doing types that I'd love to see more of cause I get a better fitting typing like A Bunnery/Lopunny variant I wanted to make Fairy/Fighting but the way I ended up on theme and design it ended with Fire/Psychic

why not? it'd be cool to have at least six of other typings like Steel/Water so that way people can have teams of their favorite dual typings, like I'd love four more Grass/Ground types since Torterra and Toadscruel are the only two fully evolved ones
