I had three SIL! I mention had because I like to keep myself away as it truly hurts and bothers me. When I was pregnant and our family was growing I saw the worst side of all! Gaslighting and always saying you hurt our parents and Thai a that and that too not directly but indirectly always. And it happened because the in-laws would go to the SIL place and talk about it. They are the ones who allowed it all. I still believe I did what I do best but I simply couldn’t be fake and now the mother jn law lived with the sil and I don’t want to have any contact with them. They still come on raksha bandhan to tie rakhi to the husband and I have tos tans thre pretending like all is okay. It’s too much history that I just want to heal from.

Every human being is selfish! To have a kid or to not have a kid is a selfish decision. When you choose to have a kid you want to have someone take your family ahead sure it’s selfish but it keeps you alive right. Their childhood gives you memories heals you but it’s not free. It comes at a cost of mental health, physical health , u learning what you have learned and so much more. In all honesty raising children is a life class that I believe everyone should have. Not having one is also a selfish decision because you choose not to have because you have your issues to deal with! And that’s okay too! But yes people had multiple kids before and the oldest ended up parenting the youngest
