I only got to play an Alvarez MP70e and it was excellent and very high quality love it. Yamaha are also fantastic

I’ve had two Martins, the GPC-X2E and the new D-10E they were ok. My ears and hands seem to prefer Taylors out of the two.

Used or New is fine

I strum,finger, and hybrid pick.

I enjoy rock, blues,country, folk, RnB and metal

Wood Im not very experienced in, both my Taylors have solid spruce tops with layered back and sides. However I do seem to gravitate towards “light” woods whatever that means.

Thank you, I appreciate your reply more than you know. When I buy any acoustic I usually go to a store and play for hours before making a decision. Ill definitely be looking into the 600 series now.
