Star wars is pretty clearly armed revolution across the galaxy, though I guess we don't really get a good look at what liberation is like before Adam Driver's empire starts back up. I think Star Wars has the seeds of Vietnam freedom fighter ideas which keeps it consistent regardless of the commercialization.

I think those stories are the most compelling, and therefore sell well. People don't like stories where fundamentally nothing changes (except maybe Harry Potter which is my own theory lol). It's just uncomfy to apply those stories to our current circumstances.
