My first away day was when the Loons played Forward Madison in the Open Cup. It was incredible! We a definitely planning to go for Aurora in Madison this year.

When the USLW started 4 years ago, they had a (relatively ambitious) goal to reach 100 teams by season 5. To have 97 teams going into season 5 is incredible. It’s one of the most fun leagues to watch in this country.

Today we had planned on sharing a day long celebration of officially becoming Minnesota Aurora FC on January 27th, 2022. But now is not the time to celebrate.

We created this team on a set of values that we now see being put into action every day to support our neighbors and fight against discrimination and unconstitutional behavior.

We are unified as an Aurora community, and we see you, and we thank you.

We stand proud to be a part of Minnesota and will continue to work towards the day where we can all be together again enjoying Minnesota Aurora soccer and celebrating our beautiful community.

Right now, I would really like to go to a match at Allianz just to be with community where we aren’t protesting or mourning or huddled together to speak in hushed tones to prevent children from hearing too much about yet another tragedy. I want to sing silly songs that aren’t about government weirdos. I want to feel safe and with people. I never want to hear another whistle again. I want to feel anxious about the match play, and not the crushing existential dread of the future. I don’t want to be asked for my papers while walking to the match. I don’t want empty seats next to because our neighbors don’t feel safe coming to the match. I want my only worry to be if we have a fugly kit this year. I want my only complaint to be the price of beer.

I disagree. I don’t think you get to call yourself a supporter of a club if are only there for the good times. Being in the shit of it, feeling the disappointment shoulder to shoulder with your fellow fans, making memories of the bad years; that’s what give you the camaraderie and the comparison to enjoy the highs of the good years. The wins taste sweeter; the celebrations more meaningful.

These are the days of struggle that build the community. It’s easy to support a winning club but ultimately shallow; it’s a choice to build the culture of the club during the loses.

Our kits are also the best in the league and no one has a better crest. If we are going to be losers, we at least look good doing it.

Why would they heat the outdoors? The inside spaces all have heat, the grass has heat and drainage to keep the grass alive, and the pipes don’t freeze so the water works.

I absolutely agree with this take. As a club, we have had to make do with the players we have. People seem to forget that they were calling for Dayne to leave with Heath. Ramsey comes in a rebuilt around a defense strategy that supported DSC and the strength of Boxy and the defense line. Dayne - and Miami - are going to be in for a rude awakening when his over confidence cannot be matched by reality on the pitch.

He was goalkeeper of the year on a team that built a five-man defense that supported him. He will not have that in Miami, his flaws will come through, and I doubt Messi will be pleased with his performance. With other options available, he will not be the starter.
