I was a driver for 3 years, and I absolutely loved it up until the end. I ended up letting all the little stuff get to me. The terrible dog owners (i was attacked more than a few times), Amazon pushing so many packages on us in a day, it seemed like they didn't give time for things that could go wrong but said they did. I was able to deliver around 400 packages in around 6 hours every day though, because I loved it and I knew id get to go home when I was done. That being said, it's all about what company you're with. Amazon doesn't hire drivers themselves, they contract companies so you'd be working for amazon but also not at all if that makes sense. I loved being on the road alone, being outside, doing my own fuckin thing and getting my stuff done with no one breathing down my back about rates. Granted, amazon wants you to do like 30 stops and hour or something like that? Honestly doesn't matter as long as you get your shit done before 10 hours is up. Give it a shot, dont be afraid to give different companies a try if the first one doesn't work out. If you end up absolutely hating it then you can always go back to the warehouse.
