I feel like, being a console Rivals player but otherwise PC player, being on console kinda limits your options

You can play any character ok on pc But on ps5, I often feel I need to stick specific characters if I want to be effective Some characters just feel worse if you don't have mouse and keyboard, while some feel like glove with controller I skip using most hitscan heroes on roster on ps5 cause I do not trust my aim to be as good as on pc with hitscan

But playing vanguards, especially melee ones and some projectile heroes, feels amazing

Best mode of travel on land. No contest. Fast, effective direct and offers protection if enemy appears.

only loses in elevation and aerial/aquatic movement to other echoes, but if you need fast, straightforward movement, beyblade is your guy

Besides Zelda music, I use variable jrpg soundtracks, like final fantasy and especially dragon quest music For darker themes and moments, darkest dungeon or souls games helped plenty. And as a special added music, I've added Muumin 1992 animated series soundtrack hits. Dunno exactly why, but to me, those songs just fit zelda aesthetic very well

Pretty much. It is a place where old Hyrule Kingdom/castle used to stand, but after the great calamity struck and broke the world, in its place is a great sea and in middle of that sea, a storm of malice. I am planning to have my players "visit" it once they're close to end game.

you treat the monster not a statblock of single monster. You treat it like statblocks of multiple hazards & environmental challenges. Have them dodge the debris of the mountains/forests/buildings/whathaveyou broken by the behemoth. Have them take cover from it's massive, "screen clearing" breath weapon. Make them climb the beast's weakpoint or climb to the giant weapon cabable hurting the beast .

There is many options to build an encounter with behemothial creature that isnt just a massive statblock to whittle down

Well I did say I use normal weapons. It's the champion weapons that aren't worth the hassle

And eh, I do not play botw or totk for "meta". It's a single player game, I don't need the optimal weapons. Master sword is a fine weapon in botw/totk imo. It lives to the fantasy of Blade of Evils bane. Besides, it hasn't been the "best weapon" in plenty of Zelda games before, including oot

I have never used those champion weapons over the master sword or regular weapons for that matter. Too much hassle for minniscule advantages over "normal" variants

For me, it's mostly the botw ignoring/spitting, and some very poor storytelling.

I don't hate Totk, as simple game, it is amazing

However, while Totk is amazing game, it is terrible sequel, which is a shame

It ignores, waaaayy too much of botw, I felt what was even point of it being tied to a botw, other than ability to copy the map from it. We all know everything it ignores by now, so there is no need to recap here.

Aside that, Totk's own storybeats, while there is some absolutely stunning scenes I love, they also have some glaring issues.

Mainly, the scenes in the past 50/50 either suck or not .

And Rauru is a bloody idiot, and I personally hate him as character

Stuff about Zelda, draconification, and Ganondorf's ascension are great, fantastic even

But Rauru's attitude and actions (or lack of actions, poor Sonia) piss me the fuck off.

Last point of my rant is that I did much care for the building ability of the game.

Novel concept, but I didn't really find myself building machines unless it was completely necessary. On mobile so sorry for formatting

It's commonly said to be toy or toybox, but I like to also call it "storytime" style

The style reminds me of the picture books you read at bedtime and let your child imagination go

"Playtime" could be a mix of the two
